I don't really see the point in manipulating everything to paint an overly rosey picture. We are where we are...
Could someone dig out a piece by him which was/is predominantly downbeat, negative? Does he do that? Does he describe himself as a journalist or columnist, or what?
His pieces, as far as I've been able to read them, don't bring perspective to a discussion, it's just another perspective. And it seems to me to be a perspective which either looks to pander to supporters' bias or to tilt at imaginary threats to the good ship LFC.
I obviously don't know if there is an 'agenda' out there wrt the 'media' and LFC but I suspect an element of any criticism directed at us is because there are guys out there, just like us, who want to see Liverpool regaining their (rightfull) place and what they're venting is frustration at the lack of, or pace of, progress towards that goal.
Just maybe
Francis.

Tompkins is a liverpool fan who likes writing about the club.
He doesn't get paid for it and he's pretty good at what he does.
I'd much rather read him than a lot of retarded drivel that gets posted on message boards like this that masquarade as informed opinon (I'd include my own posts in that
)

Tomkins is just trying to put some logical perspective into the season.
The fact is we are still unbeaten in the league and a couple of results away from the group stages of the champions league.
Im sure at the beginning of the season most supporters would have accepted that after 12 games being being unbeaten and 1 point / 6 points respectiveley behing Chelsea & Man Utd with a game in hand?
