    Yes.

He is excellent in the box and getting in the right place on set pieces.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

well they are totally different players only thing they have in common is their height...

Gomez is everything crouch is not, he's strong, good header, effective in the box, is at the right place at the right time, is fairly quick, poacher. i don't care if his technique isn't as good as crouchies, we don't need another giant that likes to fiddle with the ball out side the box, we need a goal scorer, and gomez is that...

not saying he's good enough for us, not sure about that, but i reckon he wouldn't weaken our squad if he were to replace crouch...

Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

The Bundesliga is just as fast, frantic and physical as the Prem. Personally, I prefer it to the Italian and Spanish La Liga(to some extent).
There's many good players there who can do the job in The Prem and for Liverpool in particular.
For example, Ribery who is doing very well for Bayern, then there's Van Der Vaart whos been fantastic for Hamburg since joining them. Magnin the Swiss LB is another one who has impressed me. Kompany & Van Buyten are excellent as well.
In addition, the German young talent is blosoming. Players like Jansen, Schlaudraff(both Bayern M), Gomez(Stuttgart), Neur(Schalke & future Germany #1).
Not forgetting established players like Schwarnstieger, Mertersacker, Klose, Podolski.
Finally, did ya know the the Bundesliga has the highest average of attendance in Europe with 39,957, while the Prem has an average of 34,463 and Spain a poor 28,838.

I did not know that actually, no

My point was pretty ill-informed, that was just the general impression i got from the German league.

How good are the mid-table and bottom teams though, in comparison to the EPL and La Liga?

I was at the Dortmund game several weeks a-go were Hamburg leathered them all over the Westfalen Stadium.I paid 24 euros a ticket.attendance was was roughly 79,500. atmosphere was non -existent .Although they (Dortmund) did a out of tune You'll never walk alone .
The quality of football at this given game was appalling, the Dortmund fans all buggered off with 30 mins to go.

Mid-table & bottom teams are about the same strength of the Prem, maybe a bit weaker. They have the yo-yo teams as well. Energie Cottbus for example is the Watford or Brum of the Prem, down 1 season, up the next.
The difference is in the Prem the smaller clubs still have more money than in Germany so they can afford to spend but in Germany they cant.

If German football was shown on a more credible channel, I would consider watching it. Its seems quite good but since Werder sold a lot of their talent, the title does look like going to Bayern.
