I don't think Crouch will go in January. We all know how Rafa likes to rotate his strikers and unless he's seen something in Babel that will make him play him as a striker he's not going to throw away one of his forwards now. Unless he gets a mega offer of course...

Who's available now who's better than Crouch? No-one. So he won't go now...but the summer could be a different matter...

Aguero is available for £22m, he is miles better than Crouch. Just one example.

If Aguero want to leave in January then Atletico can't stop him. Who knows if Rafa is still interested in him but if he is and Aguero want to leave then £22m won't stop any big club from signing him in January.

The transfer market is so unpredictable that you never know what will happen from one day to another.

Maybe Rafa just want to have some big cash ready if a high quality player suddenly is available, like Aguero or Kaka.

Dont get me wrong I like Crouch, just think he does not offer as much as the other 3 strikers.
The rumours about him leaving been rife for a while now so I think the writing is on the wall.

I think he offers us so much more than Kuyt or Voronin to be honest.

He allows us to dominate and control games, even though he may not have the mobility and offers our midfielders more room to operate.

Plus he sticks it in the back of the net with more regularity.

I'd love to see him and Torres play up front for a while leading up to Xmas.

It would be a good time to sell Crouch if the reports of 10-15 million are true.
Signed for 7 million, 2 decent seasons out of him, hasn't signed a new contract. It looks inevitable, it is a shame because I think he is a good player and will do well wherever he goes.
If we can get 20 million for Momo and Crouchie and sign Mascherano and aguero for the reported 39 milion, that would represent a serious investment and a serious assault on the title post Christmas.
I think if we're within touching distance (7-9 points) then the board would be up for it.

We can't just sign player after player and keep everyone we already have, the squad is big enough as it's already.

Momo, Crouch, Riise and Hyypia are probably the four players that is most likely to leave when we sign new players.

Aguero is worth it and the type of player we need that is a play maker and can link well with midfield and can score. He isnt Cup- tied

Babel in time will go upfront but for now he's the only winger we have that has pace and until Kewell gets fully fit he will be out there, very raw but i think he will come good the more games he plays.

Quaresma is a most i hope we get him, he's class and the player we need on the wing. He can take players on, full of skill, can open up defences and pitches in with goals

I don't think it's a secret that Rafa tried to sign Aguero before he moved to Atletico but couldn't afford him.

If Rafa want him and Aguero want to leave then I can't see him move to any other club than us.

I would be very surprised if Aguero's next club isn't Liverpool but that's my opinion.
