If a full match increases his fitness/sharpness without picking up an injury then that will probably be good for us. IMO it was an unacceptable risk and if I was Rafa I would still be furious.
I agree. I would love to hear from Rafa as to whether he gave the ok for the full 90 or not. I kept waiting for the manager (dont even know who it was in charge) to take him off but no go. But Harry seemed fit and happy at the end, so all seems well.

P.S. I did keep hoping Obefemi Martins would pull a hamsting or something though..

I think this has worked out well for us. Let's face it we need to push Harry as hard as we can to see if he'll last a couple of more years.
Really didn't see that - but if as suggested he asked for him to play only 45 minutes he clearly thinks that his game time should be ramped up slowly. I guess I was a bit presumptuous but I really would rather all of the minutes he plays before his next injury for us.

thats the trouble though - he never fit and with his history of injuries i dont reckon he will ever again be fit enough to play a full season for us....shame.
          Have you been popping 'E's?

As far as I'm aware there is only one 'E' in 'Leroy' and there's definitely NOT an 'E' in Shankly as EVERY Liverpool fan should know...

Nicky Carle should really be in Europe.

He's far to good for our league

Are you Turkish? Isn't Turkey classed as Europe now anyway?

He looked very good though and it surprised as I thought that level might catch him out. Playing in Turkey might have done him good. Having said that his form went through the roof about 12 months ago and he seems to be holding it. Good on him.

Hence why he has left the A-League to play in Turkey...

I think its about time he got a full 90 if he is ready then he is ready .. best he has that 90 minutes under his belt for our next game

Would've got his chance a lot earlier IMO if Graham Arnold wasn't such a neville.

I reckon he'll be playing in Spain or Germany in the next year or two.

Not sure Arnold should be blamed. There hasn't been that many opportunities and I would not have thought he warranted a chance until about jan/feb this year. TBF he had a few subs since then and he was never going to make the Asian cup 1st 11.

At the end of the day he has had a start now and taken his chance ensuring he will get other opportunities. I reckon they have got it about right as I am not sure he would of been ready to take that chance 6 months ago.

I blame Arnold for global warming, the war in Iraq, WWI and WWII, the Vietnam War, etc.

                          I don't like him much.

Well I should of guessed that.

Personally thought he did ok considering his lack of experience. The Asian cup was always going to be harder than our media portrayed it to be (read, a walk in the park).

Anyway, Harry's back and looking quite sharp

Surely to god we should all hope he rerturns to full fitness AND the form he is undoubtedly capable of. He didnt want to go through this injury nightmare, its not his fault, get off his back people.
i think that with all the expectations we had when we signed Kewell it`s our frustration at his lack of impact since that leads to Kewell bashing.

As we all are frustrated, but its the vitriole and anger TOWARDS him that some of us dont understand, as if its his own fault that his body has kept letting him down...
