      it depresses me to watch to be honest. oh to have a fit fowler playing. john barnes & ian rush seem like light years ago. where did time go?

                I know, I miss them players aswell.
                But, I have no doubt, the team we have now, would turn over any of Evan's sides.

                  Collymore seems to think so, he reckons him (first season), Fowler and Steve M in our current side would have been pretty hard to stop.

                    You would have to agree, What an attacking trio they would make now if they were in their prime. They would have the perfect platform to play from in the current team, although, they would not get the freedom now that they had back then.

                        Ah yes the days of 3 at the back (Babb, Scales and Ruddock) and 2 wing backs (McAteer and Stig). Attacking yes, but defensively sound? Absolutely not!

                        Still it was fun for a while.
