Ronnie Moran - A Great Man

I watched his interview on LFC TV last night and it was fascinating.

He came across as brilliant bloke, full of amusing anecdotes and stories, but more than anything else, his humility shone through.

He always put the club first, from when he missed out on a place in the cup final line up, to when he hung up his boots, and served the great managers in the boot room.

A much under-recognised fellow in my opinion.

On a side note, the LFC TV channel isn't great, but I absolutley love the interviews with the legends of the past.
    Oh I don't know.

maybe you think he's a much under recognised fellow, mate. For most of us he epitomises the Liverpool we know and love.
'Of course I didn't take my wife to see Rochdale as an anniversary present.
    It was her birthday.
Would I have got married during the football season ?
    Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'

Thank christ, I thought for a moment a thread like this meant he had died.

              Bloody 'ell.

I thought I did good by starting a thread about one of our legends.

              That'll learn me.
              Oh I don't know.

I also watched that, he was like your old man with many stories to tell, couldn't tell them quick enough.

Infact i was saying that he should have a regular show, recounting season by season his memories, that along with some old clips would be good.
                We come not to play.

Is this from Barney's show? I'll have to tape one of the many repeats if so. Loved these interviews so far.

What day of the week is the original broadcast? Is it every Tuesday?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

                          Do they repeat that one?

Dunno, probably, sometimes they condense it to 30mins.

I would imagine it would be repeated - don't know when though. It was a quality programme though.
