Exactly.Originally posted by dom9 View PostIn Shankly's day, any issues were dealt with behind closed doors. That's how it always should be.
I bet that Fergie has had a few barnies with the board at Old Trafford over the past 20 odd years. I can't prove it though because it's never in the public domain.
It'd be nice to have a season where we, as fans, can concentrate on what's happening on the pitch rather than the ****e like this we've had to put up with.
All this does is unsettle everything at the club right down to the fans.
The press will be loving this. They'll have a ****ing field day.Last edited by kurtangle01; 22-11-07, 08:46 PM.Babel fanclub member # 4!!!

What would happen If Rafa resign and we get a new quality manager in? He would probably have his own ideas and need cash to rebuild the squad. I dont think that would make G&H's life any easier. No small toffees for feast tonight
Kopites party with tyrkish delight
José, Sir Alex... London press
All choking on sweet success

I'm sure they're not all like that. People like G&H who are in the public eye should think more carefully before releasing statements like that.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View Postbut thats what yanks do. they are loud and brash. they don't know any other way.
Totally shocking from them. Not good at all.Babel fanclub member # 4!!!

He didn't sound full of joy but his mood seemed to change when asked about Allardyce. I'm sure if there was something sensationalist the Mirror would have chosen to put it in the audio clip, it reassures me that there's nothing there.
What has worried me is the statement from G&H, sounds like getting their revenge in first.

even if thats the case (open to debate) there's no need for him to act like he does at times or for you to jump to his defence at the mearest hint of a fart.Originally posted by SpeedyG View PostOpen your eyes mate, he's the new Shankly.

If you want to win then you need to spend huge money to do it. I think most people forget that Wenger could sell off some players for big money when he took over and sign some expensive players to replace them and build his squad.
Rafa had to cope with Houlliers not good enough squad and couldn't really start to build his team before this season because of that. He couldn't sell a few players for a good price because of our **** wage structure.
So far G&H hasn't backed Rafa good enough, you can't count the £10m for Kuyt into the transfers because that £10m was included in the price for the club.
Around £20m net isn't backing a team fighting for the title. £50m+ net/season, that's backing the manager IMO.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Looks to me like they want a yes man or someone like Jol who has no say on transfers whatsoever. GREEEEEAT!!

I wasn't farting, others said he was off whinging and moaning to the press. I just pointed out that the drama queens were talking BS.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View Posteven if thats the case (open to debate) there's no need for him to act like he does at times or for you to jump to his defence at the mearest hint of a fart.

I can't wait for the phone in on the LFC channel tonight. That should give us an idea of what fans are thiking. I think the majority of fans will back Rafa.
Although I wouldn't be surprised if relationship were so strained that he was off in the summer.Babel fanclub member # 4!!!

They said, they'd match Manures spending. That was 55m last year no? And we're potentially passing up on the best HM in the world for a mere 17m. There won't be anyone else available at this price / quality for another 10 years. It's the Rooney situation all over again. Except, the Glazer's coughed it up.Originally posted by AFII View PostIf you want to win then you need to spend huge money to do it.
