The only one people could argue with is Zenden for SG. Yet if SG were to have played the full 90 and then again on Sunday then that would have been 5 full games in 14 odd days for a player who came back to pre season training late after a world cup. SG is vitally important we all know but I can see where Rafa is coming from. I don't like it but I understand.

I'm getting sick of this now. He's being too frigging clever now. Not happy. Zenden instead of Gerrard. Bloody ridiculous.

      Bleedin stupid away in Europe.

I know he's Rafa, but friggin hell. What's he up to?

After tonights performance Zenden should hang his head in shame. He is nowhere near the standard required to play in a Liverpool midfield. I just hope Rafa agrees and gets rid January. The sale of Hamman looks like it could come back to haunt us. By far Rafa's biggest cock up since his arrival!!!

I thought he was okay. We can't afford another Gerrard, but he needs a rest sometimes. Zenden worked hard, but wasn't spectacular.

We have a ridiculous amount of games in Sept, 7 i think. I know we should aim to win all our games, but we have a much smaller squad than last year, look at the plyers Rafa has released in the TW. I think he was right to rest him tonight, get him fully fit ready to kick the crap out Chelski this weekend.

Gerrard simply cannot play every game. This is the most suitable game to rest him from out of all the games coming up. He has to play against Chelsea and Newcastle and had to play in the derby.

It goes to show that the Predictions League is going to be a nightmare to get right!

It's now a squad game and Rafa is trying to keep everyone involved and has continued to state that he will pick the fittest players that are available at that time. The players have played a lot of games recently, and last night they mentioned that we've got 7 games in the next 21 days, so Rafa is clearly looking at each game but is also keeping the immediate future in mind also.

I've no doubt we'll see at least five changes to the team for Sunday also.

Zenden was terrible though - what did he do?

I was fearing the worst when Sissoko left the field for Alonso!

The game was there for the taking last night, but in the end we seemed content with a draw when we should have taken all 3 points - that sort of attitude can bite you in the arse. Benfica last season showed how dangerous this sort of approach can be.

So there's a big game at the weekend and all that, and we just about got away with it last night - Rafa has prioritised - but if we don't get a result against the Chavs then it won't have been worth it - Rafa knows the risks, and I hope the starting line-up last night will be shown to have been a risk worth taking...

I thought about this last night – I was thinking of having a ‘predict the line-up’ game but then I realised I was a tight arse and wouldn’t offer a prize!

You’d have to try and name the line up for the Chelski game, the one(s) with the least correct players drops out and we try and second guess Rafa for the Newcastle game etc etc until one person is standing.

I could always run it I suppose, winner gets an iPod* or Xbox 360*
