Moores was oblidged under Takeover panel rules to review the higher bid and when he advised DIC of this they threw their toys out of the pram demanded an immediate response then when it couldnt be given withdrew their bid

At the end of the day as another poster has said on here, it's Rafa's team he's had nearly 3 1/2 years to build it and in the summer he signed some top players. Torres who broke the clubs transfer record, Babel cost 11.5 mil etc. Why has he now fallen out with the owners about the january transfer window? We shouldn't need major spending this window as the only thing it can lead to is an unsettled squad, with new players having to bed in to the team. A CB is all we need IMO, the squad is at bursting point and any major ins/outs should be left until summer.

H&G are probably taking a big hit financially at the moment, the $ is weak, the financial market is in turmoil with a massive downturn being predicted by city men. They've completely re-worked the stadium and the costs have spiraled by nearly 200mil, not a small outlay. Is it not possible they have enough money worries at the moment without worrying about the January transfer window?

I would like to say that i'm a huge fan of Rafa but i don't think it's his remit to be arguing about club finances and bringing it into press conferences, after all he's worked under tighter restraints under Moores in the past. We should be concentrating on the league/euro games coming up as it will shape our whole season.

I had a look at the echo site and listened to the interview. He didn't mention club finances. The echo were putting 2 and 2 together. Whether they get 4 or 5 remains to be seen. But, he didn't mention finances.

Perhaps, i was merely commenting on the matter as reported and to be blunt i rarely take anything the press say that serious as they sensationalise everything. I think transfer /wages for most clubs are the main area of 'finances', however i would concede in our case the stadium is of a bigger concern.

I am sure you will remember when Glaziers took over the Scum, their fans went to the street to show their dissatisfaction. One of the them even tore off his season ticket, although it was already worthless as there wasn't anymore home game.

Similar to Glaziers, G&H are only interested in profits. What they did is extremely similar by piling the debts. The only difference is that G&H employed a successful PR strategy that conned us all.

It is time for Liverpudian to DEMONSTRATE their DESIRE to G&H. We are the one who spend hard earned money on Liverpool merchandise. It is G&H's job to PLEASE us so that we will spend more.

The Answer is in Lecters first Post, under UK Takeover rules Morres had to consider the new offer and if need be pass it to the shareholders for a decision (with a recommendation).................A pointless exercise anyway as he owned 51%

If he had not considered it (or given it due consideration) the other shareholders could have sued Moores for the difference between the price they got from DIC and what G & H were offering

It is perhaps time for local fans to show their power by giving G & H a great welcome in December. Tearing off your season ticket is probably a good option.

How utterly, utterly absurd. Rafa wants more money. Thats what managers do. The owners say - well, show us you deserve it then. That's what owners do.

Where's the problem? If they sacked Rafa straight after he won the Premiership without spending another penny, then I might expect some fans to be talking about stuff like that. But because of a bit of a media driven spat, with no actual outcome. That's just madness.

I support Rafa. he's taken us a long way. But he still has to sort some stuff out, everyone agrees yeah, or do I have to start trawling up reactionary posts in an entirely different direction from Birmingham games?

I also support Gilette and Hicks. They seem to be delivering a hell of a lot more on a new stadium than our last owners were, and they significantly broke our transfer record. But they need to continue delivering.
