How utterly, utterly absurd. Rafa wants more money. Thats what managers do. The owners say - well, show us you deserve it then. That's what owners do.

Where's the problem? If they sacked Rafa straight after he won the Premiership without spending another penny, then I might expect some fans to be talking about stuff like that. But because of a bit of a media driven spat, with no actual outcome. That's just madness.

I support Rafa. he's taken us a long way. But he still has to sort some stuff out, everyone agrees yeah, or do I have to start trawling up reactionary posts in an entirely different direction from Birmingham games?

I also support Gilette and Hicks. They seem to be delivering a hell of a lot more on a new stadium than our last owners were, and they significantly broke our transfer record. But they need to continue delivering.

    Chill out.
FFS THey insulted Rafa in the post interview and have told him that he is not even good enough to SELL players in this window.

O rly? Its November. its a bit of a spat. Maybe. A cultural misunderstanding even. Nobody got sacked. Nobody screwed the club over yet. This sort of instant reactionism is just loony. Ripping up season tickets? Yet.... if ever.... BUT YET????? Jesus Christ.

        Seriously guys.

Thaksin Sinatra took over CITEH barely half a year. They have flew all over Asia to start Soccer School. Even Sven went on a publicity tour in Thailand during international. This is called efficiency. Never miss a single opportunity to make money out of a brand.

I am not suggesting Rafa to spend time doing PR in Asia (since his job scope is to train). Even Scum used to send their injured player to Asia for PR purposes.

Shall we sign a Japanese or Chinese player to sell kit?

What more we want to say about the American Management? Maybe, we should franchise LIVERPOOL SOCCER SCHOOL in Asia. I for one will be interested to take the franchise.

I am afraid these lost opportunity can translate into millions for Rafa's to spend on players.

No one should rip of their season tickets but G&H should learn more about the transfer system in football, the european version.

They should also get in a top class CEO that can do the daily job and help bridge the gap between G&H and Rafa. Foster clearly isn't that man and neither is Parry.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Why is Rafa getting on your nerves? All he is thinking about is having a team to compete with the top two and this is clearly not being supported financially.

What did we spend last year net? Something like £25M I think. Thats just not good enough. G&H have raided the piggy bank to compete, not the war chest that we needed. I'm sure they think they've got away with it.

So you think that Foster has done a good job so far when it almost has come to a point when Rafa walks because he isn't allowed to do his job?

He is the man who should sort out the communication between Rafa and G&H and our owners more or less never speak to Rafa, they sort it out in the media instead.

                That's really a joke.

They also spent very little in the following seasons and won nothing. The Rodriguez deal created a lot of resentment in the dressing room.It was a PR stunt to appease fans as much as anything, much like the Torres deal now appears to have been.

It was also the last and only big deal they made. Much as you've said, one deal to appease the fans and then spend nothing.

It was also the same with the Dallas Stars. They signed up Modano and won the Stanley Cup but hasn't signed any big name since then.

Looks like G&H and Rafa talked off the media yesterday. I hope they sorted a few things out.

The way I see it, this is not an argument money, but an argument over strategy.

From where I'm sat, it looks like Rafa wants to talk about January transfer targets now. G&H want to talk when they fly over on 12 December.

Experience tells us that Rafa is probably right because we have missed out on targets in the past through not getting in in time.

My opinion is that Rafa's petulance in the press conference, was immature and unprofessional.

Hicks' response in the media (not in private) was just as immature, and just as unproffesional.
                          Oh I don't know.
