If Rafa is given the boot - it wont be over his childish outburst the other day. THere's probably all kinds of stuff going on behind the scenes that none of us are aware of.

I disliked Mourinho immensely when he was at Chelsea, hated him almost, but I can't let it detract from the fact that he's a bloody good manager.

Would everyone on here have been reacting like this after the Birmingham game, or the Marseilles tie at Anfield? Iirc, this board was teeming full of "Rafa has lost it" knee jerks. Just like it also was about the owners in early June when we hadn't already blown money Abrahmovic style.

This whole thing has been stupid, and undoubtedly, there are some problems. If it all goes mental and Rafa is actually sacked or leaves right now, then a lot of this stuff will be justified. But for me, logic still dictates that it won't, and the two sides both have more to lose than to gain from not sorting this out. Rafa, the chance at a genuine title shot in England with us, even with the current squad we are not out of it in the slightest this year, and for Tom and George, the fans, their reputation, and the chance to help deliver a league title in their first full season here.

I hope he gets to finish his business with us. If for some reason he can't though and is sacked I would be dissapointed if Mourinho got the job.

I can't be arsed reading this thread but can I just say that if the new owners get rid of Rafa I would consider giving up my season ticket that I've had for 21 years. If they then appointed Mourinho I don't think I'd even watch them on the telly.

Football has been going down the pan for years and this would probably be the final straw for me that cunt is the antithesis of everything that I hold dear in Liverpool Football Club (wether those beliefs are still real or not)

Even if Rafa went and was replaced by Mourihno, it would only be temporary act in the great history of out football club, in time he would also be gone. Sorry PLY, but supporting is for life, there's no escaping it.

He will take the diving, cheating and ganging up on refs with him, that's one thing that you can take for granted.

His players did that at Porto and Chelsea. Both teams are the worst cheating, diving teams I have ever seen. Not even the Brazilian, Italian or Spainish teams can match that.

He gives orders to his players that they should do the above things.

Look at Chelsea now. They don't dive as much as before, or cheats. They don't either put as much pressure on the ref as before.
