I'll support Liverpool no matter what but If he was to become our manager and brought the entire " circus " with him ( the cunts sat on the bench ) and also continue with the childish pre and post press cons then I'll keep my money in my pocket

Watch the press cons for both our euro semi's and the FA cup and if you can find it, the bile he spouted about reading/hunt/ambulance service after the Peter Cech/hunt clash
    No worries mate.

For what it's worth, I'm not that particularly enamoured by the news. My stance has been the same all along. Rafa needs to be judged at the end of this season. It's his team now playing his style of football. If we are no nearer the title come May then his position has to be considered. Do I want Mourinho to replace him if Rafa HAD to go? I think they are pretty much of a muchness. The only think Mourinho has over Rafa is his relationship with the players but is that enough? I still think he's an arrogant prick who is full of his own self importance.

If the story is correct then the owners are bang out of order. Both sides have not covered themselves in glory this week. Rafa has acted like a petulant child but Hicks should have shown more professionalism and a bit more decorum by refraining from the public slap down. I honestly think that there is a big strain between Rafa and Hicks and I wouldn't be surprised if Hicks at least wants shut.

Aye, I read on another site that Gillett has someone else lined up to buy Hicks share of the club. Source was apparently a Parry family member.

It is strange that Gillett has disappeared in a way.

I had heard that Rafa and Parry had a meeting before the Newcastle game and Rafa seemed a lot more up beat after it.

I have also heard some whispers about that at least one of them want out, that's why I started the thread asking if you believe G&H would be prepared to sell up and leave.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

First and foremost thanks to FFF and the Sheik for posting their info

As for the Mourinho link has anybody seen Guillem Balague’s latest piece on the Sly Sports website?

He’s talking about Barca when he says this, “I'm convinced that while Joan Laporta is still the chairman - and he's still got two years left - then Mourinho will not become Barcelona coach. If Frank Rijkaard leaves at the end of the season, and there is a very high possibility that they will let him go, then it will probably be Marco Van Basten who will replace him. I have heard Jose Mourinho is negotiating already with an English club for next season.”

And then in an answer about Mallorca’s Argentinean winger Gutierrez he says the following, “It would be a great move for him and I honestly think Rafa Benitez kept an eye on him. But from what I have heard, Liverpool may not be doing any movement in January or, better said, the decision is to wait few weeks before players get sold (Carson, Crouch) or bought.

Interesting situation at Liverpool by the way, where the owners stop a manager buying or selling when the team clearly needs a couple of reinforcements that were already identified and apparently were not going to cost a penny.

Now I know Ballague isn’t overly renowned for getting things correct but adding this to all the paper / journalistic talk plus info from people on forums like FFF and the Sheik and you have to start thinking that somewhere down the line there is some truth to all the stories.

As for Mourinho taking over from Rafa... I hope it never happens, even though I have sometimes had some knee jerk reactions, well not anytime soon. Like someone else posted Rafa has definitely got some unfinished business going on with LFC but if it was to happen then I would have to get behind him (Mourinho) as he would be the manager of my beloved LFC even though I really cannot stand the man.

If it was to happen you would just say well I suppose that’s just football and nothing should surprise any of us fans.

Come on Rafa keep the good work up, keep us unbeaten in the League and get us those two wins in the CL and make GG & TH have a think before they possibly make a knee jerk decision (obviously if all this talk is true!).

                  =

The not going to cost a penny bit must surely be loan deals. Maybe Adriano if Crouch leaves.

I'd take any good news now, and this certainly is.

which would tie in with him saying "not serious" after the match. hope your source is a good one mate

Or just balancing money from sales with purchases.

but that don't fit in with the wait a few weeks thing.

Both plausible It could also be players that are able to talk to clubs in January and Rafa has got an possibility of a head start on other clubs.

Personally I would have to go for the balancing money from sales (Carson) with purchases (Garay??).
