Youre right, something is wrong but Rafa looked a happy chap yesterday and I think he'd know before Bascombe and a few other people if Mourihno or anyone was waiting in the wings. Just sit back and let it pan out because no matter what way it does, there is **** all we can do about it anyway so no point getting pissed at it. Im getting more and more concerned with only what happens in 90 minutes and not what goes on inbetween.

The fact Rafa seemed happier after the game yesterday reassured me, and made it all the more shocking to read the reports this morning.

It's only because it's Bascombe that anyone gives a ****. And of course, that is precisely why the NOTW employed him, and why, despite agreeing with what he wrote at the time, I think he has totally sold out by taking the job.

Something isn't right at the club. People are briefing against the owners, and the lines of communication are obviously not what they should be, but Rafa didn't look like someone facing the sack after the game, and nor did he look like someone who was preparing to walk. No-one really knows what is going on though, and that December meeting can't come soon enough as far as I'm concerned. All we need is stability - things are really starting to come together and I'm more optimistic than ever that this could be our year if Rafa stays and is backed.

Without wanting Rafa to be sacked in any shape, way or form; people have to realise that there aren't many managers better, or as good as, Benitez. Mourinho is one of the few that are as good, if not better than Rafa, and shouldn't be ruled out of the running should we be needing to hire a new manager. I'd welcome him should Rafa leave

just because he won the league with a ridiculous budget doesn't make him a better manager or even equal, abramovich took away his money, what happened then? rafa won league titles in spain, uefa and european cups with little money, sure mourinho did the same with porto but i wouldn't class the portugese league anywhere near as hard to win as the spanish

I wonder have you ever actually tried not to support the club? I tried to in the 90s through a combination of horrible football, what I believed to be really bad attitudes from key players and no money. I found it impossible.
Even if Rafa went and was replaced by Mourihno, it would only be temporary act in the great history of out football club, in time he would also be gone. Sorry PLY, but supporting is for life, there's no escaping it.

I agree with that, having supported the club for over 35 years I have grown , I dunno, a little jaded by it at times maybe ?

I dont get as hyper about it as I used to as it is hard to get in to it when a bunch of what seems to be over paid hair dressers are mincing around the pitch on some days.

Sometimes it seems the players cant be bothered to turn up for the game then I cant be bothered with it either.
