Maybe Rafa has approached them about Parry's ineptitude and they've said "concentrate on the team, we'll concentrate on Parry" ?

Yep its how i see it too - there is money to be made by journalists in scare mongering and the zombies lap it up. Good to see all the "insiders" out and about with what they've "heard" and offering their few bob worth.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostYou know what I reckon?
Rafa's had his wings clipped. After the losing CL final he could get away with saying what he said and publically challenging the owners. He's always going to have the fans behind him, that's a given, but he has to realise his place in the heirarchy of the club. He works for the club, Hicks and Gillett OWN the club. They are not going to allow Rafa to hold them to ransome every window, it's not beneficial to the long term success of the club, it's actually very damaging to have weak leadership at any part in the running of the club.
Rafa's a strong leader, the yanks know that now and they won't want to replace him with a 'yes man' because ultimately 'yes men' are detrimental to success. Hicks and GG are also strong leaders and they want to exert their authority for once.
Believe me, if they wanted Rafa sacked, he'd be sacked. Everything they've done so far smacks of men who are not going to procrastinate and piss about, their businessmen who take decisions no matter how difficult they are. They simply wanted to reign Rafa's mouth in and get him to cool his jets, which I think they have and is also the reason I think Rafa was looking a lot happier after the Newcastle game. He now realises they want him as manager but he also realises his boundaries, this is good, it's they way to progress.
I think they've assured him they are going to back him in January particularly with the Mascherano deal which is probably all he wanted to know.
I'm very calm and positive about this, just a little power struggle by rafa and the owners which is probably resolved now.
Things may not be perfect around Anfield but its nowhere near a crisis like that little urchin who sold his soul to the S*n is making out to be.

I just don't think G&H will see Rafa as the only man capable of making LFC successful. There are plenty of top managers who would work under G&H. Lets face it in Italy & Spain, coaches coach and the suits pick & choose who's bought & sold. They have no trouble attracting top bosses and nor would LFC.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostI completely disagree.
The yanks want the club to be successful; firing Rafa - a top a manager - isn't going to help that, is it?
I consider what Rafa said to be constructive criticism, they way it was delivered was perhaps a bit naughty and has given the press vultures their opportunity to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
I think if they were going to sack him they'd have done it already, but lets be honest there was never any danger of that and this has been a complete pile of ****e.
I don't want Rafa to go but at the moment its looking odds on. I think it'll happen sooner or later. Sooner if results start going poorly, later if we do the business on the field. I think Rafa's best chance is we have such a good season G&H would be lynched if Rafa went. Apart from that I think he'll be gone, its if not when.AKA Heighway No9

That's true but they also have a habit of changing managers every other year because of it.Originally posted by Sir Bob View PostLets face it in Italy & Spain, coaches coach and the suits pick & choose who's bought & sold. They have no trouble attracting top bosses and nor would LFC.
That's not really the road I'd like to see us go down.

I've always tended to defend Parry in the past on the grounds that no-one ever had any evidence he was at fault but I've got the same feeling as you now.Originally posted by Lecter View PostTheres been friction for sometime between Parry & Rafa
Its generally accepted they dont get on either personally or professionally
Other than that I have no hard evidence other than a gut feeling
I've seen political games played out before and this looks just the same from the outside. As always, the question is, who benefits?
Someone somewhere is putting their own interests above the common cause. As far as I can see, Parry has the most to gain from Rafa going and from uncertainty enveloping the club..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

DIC....Moores and Parry out.
G&H...Moores and Parry stay.
I think it's obvious which one they will chose.
I still wonder why they, or rather Parry, didn't inform DIC when they had promised to keep them informed about any rival bid?Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

No seriously, that's the only reason, they read all your posts and they hold real time video conferences to plan a strategy to piss you off.
They're laughing right now, sniggering away as they realise they have really pissed you off.Originally posted by Gordon Brown
