Mourinho was never coming here anyway

      2. A combination of Benitez's offer/apology and the fans reaction has taken the idea of sacking Benitez of the table, so there's no longer a place for Mourinho at Anfield?
      3. The fans reaction has meant Mourinho is out of the frame at Anfield, but Rafa's position is unchanged?
      4. Mourinho has to say he's interested just because his arch nemesis Rafa said he was?
      5. It's totally irrelevant.
      6. Mourinho is a cunt.

I'd go for 6, while optimistically hoping that 1 or 2 are also true.
After days of worry, I'm choosing to read into this optimistically too. If for no other reason that it suggests my total nightmare scenario (of that **** taking over from Rafa) is becoming less likely...

****in hell, Mourinho was never coming to anfield. It was a bull**** story to begin with. Rafa wont be sacked and even if he was Mourinho would never be offered it.

It was always going to be between Mourinho and Capello for the england job

I hope you are right. I don't believe things just because "insiders" tell me to, or because a particular journalist does, but when people who are well connected like Bascombe (sell-out or not), Oliver Kay, David Maddock, Tony Barrett at the Echo, and ex-players who still have good contacts such as Phil Thompson, John Aldridge and Ian Rush are all saying the same thing (and that knob-head Lawro) then you start to suspect that there is something in it.

Not true mate. Of course he's allowed. It was hime who 'ruled it out' by saying that he would like to experience a new league (and learn a new language) before one day returning to the premiership.

i wonder if it means jose has suspected a u turn and is trying to hurry G&H along by touting himself for another job

Doubt that mate. Maybe they don't like the idea of the manager acting like a divvie in the press conferences? The tail wagging the dog so to speak. G&H may well have some blame at their door for this situation but so does Rafa - he's not blameless.

He's not blameless for voicing his concerns in public. He's too honest to lie to the fans. If his hands are tied in the transfer market and he can't bring the best players for the club, then he's entitled to warn us. That is all.

The americans have delivered nothing till now. Buying Torres for £ 20m and selling players to make it a not so big outlay, is no big deal. The plans for the stadium are still ... plans. Nothing has been finalized as to how this will be financed.

It has all been too flashy for me since the beginning. Their PR is good and not knowing about the sport in the first place brings doubts in my mind in them running the club like it should be run.

                              The future will tell.
