    Ryan Babel

I think he's progressing really well for us. Rafa's been clever IMO in the way he has used him...gradually easing him into life in the Premiership.

A few people have noted a comparison with John Barnes, and I can totally see that. He's obviously nowhere near the player JB was in his prime, but there are definite similarities. For anyone too young to have seen Digger, I remember us all getting really excited when the ball went to him, as you just knew something good was going to happen. I'm starting to get that feeling about Babel.

There's still a hell of a lot more to come from him, but the signs are there.

    Great goal today too.

He will be a superstar. I do love players that are capable of pulling a goal out of nowhere. He is a weapon anywhere within 35 yards, right or left foot.

Has a healthy knack for finding the back of the net.

Lucas looked liked a superstar today too.

I like his ruthlessness. Give me space and I'll punish you.

Will be a monster of a player, for sure.

              I concur

And god help the premiership once he starts playing up front and through the middle. Him and Torres together would be sick.

Just wait til he settles in. Gerrard clearly loves to attack along with him.

Yeah, right from his first appearance for Liverpool, I just felt there was something about him that would suggest he would become a great player.

It's still early days, but I still like what I see and he can only get better by the game. Right wing, Left wing or Striker. He seems comfortable in all 3 positions.
                  # Fernando Torres, Liverpool's number 9 #

I can see where you're coming from but I still think he has a long way to go before he is the finished article.

Yes - good goal today, but his overall decision making still needs developing. Still, the signs are good.

I liked the way he seemed to be sticking out wide today, rather than cutting inside to try and get it.

I often wondered how good we would look with Torres, Babel and Stevie in the same team....superb. Wait until we get Xabi back aswell!

Babel is a cracking buy from Rafa. Superb young player. Important for now and the future.

When Wenger plays Walcott on the wings everybody raves on how wenger is a genius and is letting Walcott develop. Rafa is doing the same with Babel.
