I hope this has died down now. I was very surprised at the BBC's tabloid reporting of Rafa's post-match interview yesterday. The headline bore no relation to what he said.

If I was in charge of LFC (CEO) I would have both parties on conference calls over the last 24 hours telling both to "shut the **** up shouting your mouths off in public" in the nicest possible terms of course.

These are adults FFS. A conversation must have taken place today to sort this. Its the only sensible course of action.

I predict this will blow over and we will all be back to arguing over who's games console is better than anyone else's in no time.

Remember it is in the interest of SSN and various newspapers for this to run and run. I don't believe it will.
You can agree with me, or you can be wrong.

None of us want it to be true and that is why we are reacting like we are-denial. But whether it's true or not, we're just going to have to let it play out and see what the result is.

What I will say is it is clear to me that Rafa's position will ultimately depend on results and results alone, therefore we should all start supporting the frickin team especially on match days, will them to win and stabilise Rafa's position.

So who was it then? It certainly wasn't Foster, he is way to comfy in th states.
Parry perhaps? Personally, I don't think so.

'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

All I know, is that if this pans out then I might start paying attention to Bascombe.

If it turns out to be complete bollocks then we can ignore him from now on.

                        To discos post?
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

After reading that, if Rafa is not sacked, I will be joining you in ignoring his articles in the future.
HE made it out as if it was all doom and gloom last season when the yanks too over, saying more or less, we will have nothing to spend and Rafa was not being backed. Before going off on holiday in the middle of the whole story. Then when he comes back, after been proved wrong, he mentions nothing of what he said before he left. I didn't believe him then and I don't believe him now.
I will stand by what I said, we may have to possibly look at our options in terms of a new manager, but it doesn't mean the axe is going to strike. There is no reason to sack Rafa over what he said.

I thought he had them on the line during the summer when he copied all the other newspapers in saying we had no money etc, he was wrong then so if he is wrong now it will be final proof for me.

Rafa about to be sacked doesn't square with Hicks and Gillet falling out over money.

The two stories may not be mutually exclusive but let's face it if Gillet has another investor to buy out Hicks then why would he want to create more instability by sacking Rafa ?

If the G&H spat is true then surely Rafa's job is only in jepoardy if it's Gillet who leaves rather than Hicks.
