I wouldnt really want Mourinho as manager, he isnt the Liverpool way as alot of people say, but is it time for the Liverpool way to change, It hasn't worked for a long while now.

I think they are trying to defuse the situation.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostWhat is the point in releasing a statement saying "there is nothing new to say" and then basically listing our next few fixtures??????
Saying again that, at least publicly, there is nothing happening before the 16th of Des.--== Because the gang and the government is no different ==--

After all that transfer scaremongering last summer I've considered him a complete joke ever since.Originally posted by disco View PostAll I know, is that if this pans out then I might start paying attention to Bascombe.
If it turns out to be complete bollocks then we can ignore him from now on.
My arse he has links within the club, well maybe he does, just not of the reliable/informed kind.
Decamping to the Sunday scum hasn't helped his respectability.I hate Polanski

Them releasing another statement is good news IMO. To me it shows that they're starting to come round to Rafa's ideas and way of thinking.
Let's just pray that this is the case. Rafa chose his words carefully yesterday by saying that both he and Mr Hicks care for the club. I'm sure that deep down the American owners do care deeply for the club, just as we do.
Let's just hope this is the end of all the worrying and turmoil and we can concentrate on the football.Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

I think they were on a hiding to nothing no matter what they did and they knew it. If they had said nothing it would have been read as a sign that the stories were true, if they had given Rafa resounding backing the papers would have called it 'the dreaded vote of confidence' so they covered themselves and issued the blandest statement in history to be penned by anyone other than Ian Cotton.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostWhat is the point in releasing a statement saying "there is nothing new to say" and then basically listing our next few fixtures??????
I'm adopting a position of mild concern but I'm reading Rafa's mood yesterday as a positive thing. I don't think either side will want to be seen to back down but it is in everyones interest for them to work together especially if Rafa just wants us to move quickly on some low risk free transfers (and more than likely Mascher)."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Top post mate, what I wanted to say but couldn't be bothered.

I wonder what the next statement will be....
Tea lady out for lunch, back later when she has given us the latest back pages.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Well, it's up to Rafa. G&H have now made it 100% clear to him that they won't change their mind about discussing transfers before the 16th.Originally posted by Maestro View PostI really, really, really wish you are right, but I don't think you are.
I actually think he'll be gone this week.

It looks like they won't sack him, so if Rafa want his £6m or whatever he gets if he is sacked, then he will stay until then.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

True or false - what do you think?
There obviously is a power struggle right now
Rafa doesn't really want to leave
G&H doesn't really want Rafa to leave
They are just feeling each other up and getting familiar.
We need to progress in CL to regain real order. Failure to do so will give G&H the upper hand come 16/12 and Rafa might be in too weak a position to continue.
This is very much about Mascherano. Rafa wants him to be bought now and not to be seen as part of the transfer budget in general.
We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.
