    Rafa Leaving?

Raffa simply wants to get the players in before Euro 2008, before their price goes up, as it does after every major tournament!

I've just said this in another thread, but this is the issue that Rafa understands... Boy Foster, Texas Ranger and the other guy just done get it.

Would you show support for Rafa and boycott some games to let our owners know our feelings

Be upset but accept it as part of football and hope they get someone decent in.

    Sure..... BUT

    a) How many top class players are actually ever available in Jan anyway?

    b) Surely they'd cost more in Jan as its mid season, and many available targets would have 6 months less on their contracts in the summer?

Since the winter transfer window was put in place, every season fans of all clubs seem to expect a **** load of business, and it simply never materialises. To expect that we will buck the trend in a major way is unrealistic.

Not saying we don't need strengthening, or that it won't happen, but you seem to be suggesting that we should be doing, and should be able to do, most of next summer's business in the next window instead, and I simply don't see that as ever going to happen, whatever the situation with the owners.
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
    Mine angry and defrauded young?

It is noting to do with the Euro Championships, it is to do with Janurary, we have businees then too.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

A quote from the man himself:

"I insist we need to sign three players now because in the summer they will be more expensive"

I think the thing is Rafa's got a few voronin type transfers in mind, players he can get to comit in january and wait until next season for. He even said himself that more than 1 was a free a transfer, so why should there be a big holdup for this that's what rafa's trying to get across i think, but stupid **** hicks can't see it.

Why didn`t you put this post in the same thread????

P.S.I`m still baffled why people think we need new players. We`re 3 points behind ManU with a game in hand and unbeaten.Bringing in new players might upset the balance we have now.

the problem is that rafa was told he would have the money to spend and now the yanks are saying lets see
my understanding was we had some big dough being spent on top players in january and that was from a good source so maybe rafa is trying to call their bluff and it may backfire. either way its not one for the public to read and hear about. we are liverpool this is not the liverpool way

                    If the Unthinkable Happened

Just wanted to gauge peoples level of feeling regarding this.
BTW not being sensationlist I was just wondering what people would do.
I personally would be devasted if this did happen and would have little faith in our new owners.

I would stop supporting Liverpool FC till they left ... and would tell anybody who would listen what cunts they were and I would make it my mission in life to destroy them and the entire family tree

I would them tell them to **** off. I guess that means option four.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
