I love Rafa but one should never start a battle one cannot win. Sorry to be pessimistic.

When will he go? Well, he will want his contract to be largely paid up, and that will happen only if he shuts up (he will soon be in breach of his contract otherwise) and does not walk. The owners on the other hand will not want to get rid of him during the season unless they have a replacement in place. And, if the owners do not want to spend during the transfer window, they will not want a new manager in place before then. All these things point to a summer parting of the ways.

Oh Rafa, what have you done?

Id love to see them take this to a tribunal for gross misconduct

I think they'd struggle to win myself

Short of Rafa burning down Anfield or molesting Tom and George his chances of winning would be ok

stability is the be all end all to be successful in the long term in this game. those who don't understand that aren't fit enough to run a club.

Hicks wants money. Silver brings money. Otherwise, just win the League Cup Rafa and shut him up.

And to be fair to Rafa, he's done nothing. He didn't insult these two clowns but give his honest opinion to journos who were pestering him.

Damaging the brand image by making negative comments in the press? That is gross misconduct.
Not saying he has made negative comments about LFC, he has about the owners though and there was the press confrence on Thursday that was a bit of a joke.

he was childish in his actions and showed a lack of respect.

The teams that are 1st and 2nd in the prem have the longest serving managers in England, coincidence?

Disagreeing with your boss and ranting in public are things which happens in any walk of life. If for that alone he's sacked, then it's complete nonsense. I think they're hiding behind an agenda ... They've found something to beat Rafa. He wants money to build a winning team. They want a stadium to make money, and lots of it. They won't spend a dime on it all ... All will be borrowed against the club.

Didn't G&H say that Rafa would continue to have full control and they would back him (or words to that extent)

As an aside, I can't help but feel that this is a storm in a tea-cup. If we didn't buy big in January we certainly have the goods to push on and win whatever we're left in! It almost seems a point of principle for Rafa - he's had the control taken away from him.

"With monkey me, dogface dishwasher bitch and chimp the ****ing champ you. We are turning into a raving party here arent we"

Aye, he was being real childish.

The more interesting thing is what made him say those things.
                      Was he provoked?

I suspect (and this is just my opinion) Rafa told them back me for all the players I want this summer and will win you the league. I also think that he has told them the reasoning behind all the kids is so he can run the club like Wenger and make a profit every year. They may not have realised that this will take a few years to come to fruition and are wondering why he wants more players.
I think given a few more years and we will have an Arsenal type situation at our club which will be helpfull whilst paying fr the ground. IF we bring in someone like Maureen then this will all go to **** and we will be spending big every year.

For saying, 'I'm focusing on training and coaching my team' ? The journos put 2 and 2 together if you look at it closer. It can be childish, but at least he's honest and thinking about the fans. Yes, it's not the Liverpool way, but these two yank clowns were claiming all sort of things when the came. Why raise the bar when you have doubts you'll deliver ? They should have shut the **** up themselves.

I know it has been in all of my contracts, also I have had a written warning in a past job for arguing with my boss in front of customers (younger more reactionary days).
