Well to an extent the fact that he kept Pako as part of his staff for 10 years answers the final query. Along with the fact that a lot of the rest of his staff were poached to take over management or other higher positions back in their home country than those he had them working for us indicate that he might just be willing to work with exceptional people and those people will always be called to higher jobs (but he has always identified top replacements and none of them seemed worried about working with him). Over his time Sir Alex has gone through a good many assistants and coaches - and he hasn't all that often been bringing them in from another country which is always an added risk.Originally posted by sitoca View PostI have been thinking.......and I believe Rafa is the problem. His personality and behaviour is causing all the problems including the current saga.
How many of his staff that came along with him has left and gone back to Spain? Even Pako, his good friend of more than 10 years couldn't take it no more. The only one left is Alex Miller, the rest came in over the last 2 seasons.
It might be his work ethics that is causing the rift. Thus, this might be the reason why both Parry and Hicks are now making their stand.......
Anyone knows if he has similar records at his previous clubs like Valencia, Tenerife, Extremadura?
He is obviously a very driven man and puts football above personal relationships when it comes to his job. This personality has made him a success and I don't see why he should compromise if it means a lower chance of success. I'm not totally convinced that he always goes about it the right way but he invariably only causes trouble when fighting what I think are the right battles to fight in order to succeed."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

A lot of top clubs want Rafa so it isn't hard to believe that a lot of clubs would want his assistants as a way of getting some part of his ways.

I agree with this.
