    Players...back the manager...

Why have no players came out and publicly backed Rafa? Best guess is probably that they have been instructed not to talk about the subject....

However, if Gerrard, Carragher or whoever is interviewed after the game tomorrow night and does not publically back the manager, then I for one will be pissed off.....

i thought that stevie G would have come out, as captain, by now and made some sort of statement that all the players are behind the manager.....

Probably because what the row is over is not footballing reasons and therefore not really anything to do with the players.

You'll notice when teams are ****, players do back the manager and come out with all manner fo ****e about everyone pulling together, but this time, football isnt the cause of all this.

well if there is a possibility that benitez leaves, then it is a "footballing issue"

at the end of the day, we all know that this squad, managed by this manager, has a chance to do something special. Something liverpool have not done in the best part of 20 years. They should publicly state this....

Still.....I think I would say something, especially if you are in a position of power like Stevie, Carra or even Torres.
Simple statement is all thats needed. Make all the difference.

big time marty.... even the spanish players should come out and state something along the lines of "I have arrived at Liverpool to work with Rafael Benitez......thats the main reason"

Stevie G has often stated how he aspired to be a Roy Keane type player, well then he has to not only play well in the majority of games, but also be a man of his principles. He should come out and give rafa 100% support...

Did Roy Keane come and talk about the split between Slur Alex and the Coolmore Mafia then?

Perhaps, because they all speak to Rafa most days, they are aware this is a non-issue, just a tissue of journalistic supposition, stoked by a fury of internet forum indignation and as a result don't feel the need to speak out?

Until we hear solid facts, all we're doing on here is wasting electrons, me included!

well stevie G did come out and say something along the lines of "we have to put the business of rafa out of our heads when we play porto" he could have thrown in something like "we are all behind the manager" though and he didnt

as for keane with the coolmore thing, that had **** all to do with man U - it was simply a private ferguson argument... the 2 irish boys were not even on the board at old toilet...
