That is what i am afraid of.
If benitez does leave, then personally i think gerrard, riise, carra, finnan and xabi should all give their ****in cl medals to rafa and publically hand in transfer requests....(maybe riise should just hand in a request, given that he sold his medal!!!)

My suspicion is that they all know the best thing is to say sod all. Remember how all the Chelsea players mad a song and dance when left and then weeks later had changed to being right behind Mourinho. As a player you have to knuckle down under whichever manager is there and you opinion is and to a large extent should be irrelevant to those at higher administrative levels at the club.
I thought we all wanted everyone to be dignified and not wash the clubs laundry in public anyway?"The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I think it would be a complete disgrace if any LFC player handed in a transfer request because of a manager departing. They play for Liverpool football club, that's where their loyalties should always ultimately lie.

oh good man....."it ****in Liverpool FC"
Inadvertantly, you are correct - it is ****ing Liverpool FC.
Liverpool FC is an institution - whereas these pricks are in danger of turning it into Mc-****in-donalds.......its not the institution that these players aspired to playing for.

This isn't ****ing dancing with the stars. Vote out your least favourite owners of the club and replace them with fictional ones. Lets band together all our players and get them to bad mouth their employers based on a load of hysterical fan bollocks, great idea. I don't remember Keane being the middle man between management and the club owners.Originally posted by PaulLinehan View Postbig time marty.... even the spanish players should come out and state something along the lines of "I have arrived at Liverpool to work with Rafael Benitez......thats the main reason"
Stevie G has often stated how he aspired to be a Roy Keane type player, well then he has to not only play well in the majority of games, but also be a man of his principles. He should come out and give rafa 100% support...
