They started it ... made promises ... Rafa is using the same principle. Now turning it the other way round ... putting pressure. They've snapped, simple.

And Parry ... he's just an employee now. Moores was a nice man ... the americans are different.

Firstly, they should bring in someone here full time, who has authority to make decisions. Foster Gillett doesn't seem to be doing that.

As you say, it's all a farce ... I'm very skeptical about these guys now.

If you consider what Hicks should do to get the best possible price, then he should do more or less what he has done.

Deliver excellent plans for a new stadium and then sell up before the club takes any loan against the club to pay for the stadium.

Build a team capable of challenging on all fronts for money that probably already were there.

Let's just say that it makes financial sense for him to sell out now.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

            That's the point.

They are planning to take a loan against the club to pay for the new stadium. That means that the club won't be worth that much until there is clear proof that the stadium will be a huge success.

If we are not successful on the pitch then we will never be able to fill the stadium week in week out IMO. That means that we won't make a huge profit from it for a long time.

So it makes financial sense to sell up now for Hicks instead of sacking Rafa.

we haven't been that successful on our standards for almost 20 years, yet when did you last see anfield with loads of spare seats.

Well they're banking of selling it out.

Let's see it that way. If Rafa's sacked, there will be loads of angry supporters ... for a time ... and everything else will fall back into place if the other manager is successful, so they could also bank on hiring one with a proven track record.

It will also mean we've fallen off compared to our previous standards. It will just be like Newcastle, Spurs etc ...

The whole story is not. You only have to look at Rafa's press conferences to know that.

The journos have still speculated somewhat, for example the Mourihno bit and Rafa being sacked if we don't win tonight.

G & H are businessmen but the strange thing is they're not acting like businessmen. They're being petty and getting uppetty over Rafa having 'too much power'. They're letting personal prejudice get in the way of the fact that losing Rafa would set us back hugely in our progress. They don't understand the European transfer market but they're being too stubborn to learn how it works and to give Rafa the time he needs to land targets.

I didn't like the idea of new owners taking over from Moore because I thought we'd lose our tradition and just become an efficient money-making machine. But I knew if was necessary to progress as a club. I just wish G & H would act like proper business men - stay out the way of our expert Rafa and simply give him was he needs to succeed.

It ain't over till it's over. Rafa is still the boss and I think some people on here are very fatalistic. Let's not get too distracted from the main business of winning football games. Rafa is shrewd enough to sort out the Yanks and the Anfield crowd tonight will show the Yanks who we support in this matter. Onwards and upwards. No pain, no gain.
