nice to see Harry get some game time. he gives us good balance and skill when he plays. hope his body holds up to the challenge- if it can i'd be delighted for him to sign a new contractOriginally posted by Gazzla View PostBased on no info whatsoever, I have a feeling after tonight and the support Rafa got that he will be staying.
Rafa
Also well played Harry Kewell when he came on, a fit Kewell really makes a difference to us adding width, flair and creativity. Well played

Basically saying how crap we were and we were lucky to scrap through with some late goals, didn't have a good word to say about us all night.Originally posted by tsb View PostAndy Gray - What did that bluenose ****e say? (I was watching a foreign stream)

Kewell shows how good manager Rafa is. How many managers would have kept faith with him?Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

a fair few to be honest. Kewell on his day is as good a footballer there isOriginally posted by AFII View PostKewell shows how good manager Rafa is. How many managers would have kept faith with him?"What's your favourite Beatles album then?"

There is an easy answer. Turn the sound down and listen to commentary on the radio instead. Alan Greene, miserable though he can be, is a million times less annoyingOriginally posted by kemm1 View PostI'm having a hard time enjoying the result because I have too much ****ing hate for that c u n t Andy Gray right about now

We can but hope.Originally posted by CharlieMansonsSquint View PostHope that interview puts to bed this whole farcical debate about his position.
But I doubt it will.
Porto are a decent side. That was an excellent result, we had a dodgy spell before half time but otherwise we played pretty ok.
Negatives
- we really do need Agger back, Hyppia is a legend but was off form tonight.
- Babel did not have a good game imo.
Positives
- We won
- We scored twice from corners!
- Crouch scored coming off the bench!
- Torres is WORLD class
- Kewell. Looks like the real Harry is standing up at last.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

He was just a first class cunt throughout. At times I was wondering if he was hoping Hicks & Gillett were watching their broadcast - pursuing his apparent vendetta against Rafa, chuckling at his decisions or non-decisions and slating our football. He's a ****ing bitter, bitter old cocksucker of the worst kind. Hate him.Originally posted by tsb View PostAndy Gray - What did that bluenose ****e say? (I was watching a foreign stream)
Also Souness and Hoddle talked incredible amounts of bollocks before kick off when they questioned Mascherano's quality! No wonder they're both failed, out of work managers. Clueless swines.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand relax.
That was awesome. Okay we didn't play well for large portions of the game, but we did the business when it mattered. There's not much to add to everything that's already been said in the thread, but Kewell and Crouch instantly made us a more potent attacking threat.
Babel looks lost as a winger to me and, as carrsim said, he's better used as an impact sub against tiring defenders for now.
Words can't express how much I love Torres. The frightening thing is he will get better. He is a genuine world beater and he makes me feel 12 years old again.
Rafa's interview at the end nearly made me weep. The smile at the end..."I prefer to think about tonight's win, no - it's better", and the famous, beaming Benitez smile right down the lens. How has sacking this great, great man even found its way onto the agenda?
I adore the man. May Benitez reign forever!
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

No wonder they're failures as managers. They can't even see a good layer when he's in front of them.
And all this from Sounness who signed Julian Dicks!

at least he'd have said it a lot for us tonight"At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques"
