Hope the owners have loads of cash if...........

    they sack Rafa.

Any new manager will want to rip up the team and bring in his new players. I think he may keep 3 or 4 and would sell the rest. Also a few will leave due to Rafa going. Therefore the new manager would need to buy 5 or 6 new players and use what he has left.

This is going to cost a fortune and definitely will not happen in the January window. Will this be possible with the stadium coming also?

Rafa is probably after possibly 2 new great players to add and a couple as cover.

This could be the start of another 3 year project and we get no where.

Arsenal and Man Utd have proven that consistency is required at management , with the only exceptions being Chelsea buying the trophy as did Jack Walker.

I think Rafa has definitely realised that he has spoken out of turn(in the yanks eyes) and is back tracking big time. He must know that his job is seriously under threat and now he is saying how much he wants to stay.

I am seriously excited watching us play at the moment which i haven't been for years. Torres is so so good and what we have needed for years. SG is playing well again and Kewell tonight showed what he is all about. If he keeps fit we are in for a great fight for the league.

With regards to Masher, 17 million is a lot of money. I know he will be a lot more in future, but that's in the future. Lucas on Saturday played very well with SG and with Alonso coming back do we really need him? I know what others think, i want him also, but 17million? dont we also have some others playing well in the reserves which will come through slowly?

I think the owners may have a point. But i really think that they need to understand our game better before they knock our manager down.

Mourinio is a fantastic manager, but my god i cant imagine him in charge of us. I suppose we would get used to it, but i hope i dont have to. Rafa as of yet has done nothing wrong. We must challenge for the league this year for him to be in charge next season though i feel.

HIcks is becoming a hate figure. If he sacks Rafa i dont think he will be welcome at anfield, and now if he doesnt back rafa money wise he will also be hated.

I have read that maybe Gillette has a buyer for Hicks share, and I think the best thing for all involved would be to hope that this was true.

    thanks

        Rafa must stay.

Mourinho, who was interviewed live on SSN tonight from his Portugal home distancing himself from the Enland job, can **** right off.
