    a draw might be enough!!!

incredibly a draw allied to a besiktas win would see us through(i think)
if that scenario happens besikts will top the group and porto, marseille and ourselves will be level on points. Now heres where it gets interesting: we will all have beaten each other and if it goes on group goal difference we will finish 2nd, or if it goes on the goal difference in the matches that we've all won between each other we will have plus 2, marseille 0 and porto -2. So it seems to me that has to be how it works. If anyone knows exactly let me know.
However I think we and porto will win and we'l finish 2nd and qualify which is all that matters.

Would see us out, Besiktas and Marseille would go through as Marseille would have a better head to head against us.
We have to win it, nothing else will do.

But Porto would have a better head to head against Marseille and we would have a better head to head against Porto so I honestly don't know how it would work

                  Niallers is right.

If Besiktas beat Porto, they top the group.

A draw with Marseille leaves us, Porto and Marseille on eight-points but with a paradoxical head-to-head record:

Porto got the better of Marseille, Marseille got the better of us and we got the better of Porto.

Ultimately, in that situation, I think it forces goal-difference into the equation either overall or in the mini-league between all three clubs. Either way, we come out on top.

Let's not hang on to that hope though because Besiktas will do well to leave Portugal with anything.

                    From the BBC
Teams level on points are separated by:

                    1) The results of games between the teams in the tie (if tied, by goal difference and then by away goals counting double).

                    2) Goal difference in all group games.

                    3) Highest number of goals scored in all games.

                    4) Highest Uefa ranking over the previous five seasons.

It is a non event as Porto will win at home. So we have to win, I would also hate to think of our team going there and hoping for Besiktas to win.

Hmmmm. I could have sworn there was some reason that Marseilles would go through.

Anyway, Besiktas are incredibly unlikely to win in Portugal, so its a pretty safe bet that we will need to win.
