Pepe to be given 10 games to turn his form around?

ITV were on about this as if it's a statement Rafa made about Pepe being dropped if he continues to make mistakes. I can't remember anything like that being said. All i've heard Rafa say is that his record last season was as good as Clemence's and that Pepe is No1 at the club and will continue to be or have I missed something?

Rafa said in an interview that keepers need about ten games to get their match sharpness and confidence. He said Kirkland and Dudek both got the 10 games, and Reina will too.

I think a few rags made a mountain out of this today.

So it's a case of the press twisting his words then. It doesn't surprise me.

Yeah I'm feeling better now actually.
Looking at the positives: Clean sheet, no injuries (thank God), a point away from home (so 3 home wins will see us through), no yellow cards and Stevie and Xabi had a rest with a bit of a run out.
I would have been more pissed off had that been a knockout match, it's not bad for a group game.

I agree with that. Despite being slightly miffed with the team selection I think that we have still gained a point rather than lost two.

PSV have only lost twice at home in 55 games over the last 2 years and have won 46 of them, that's a good record however you look at it because they've played some good sides in that time.

I think that we'll qualify from the group and most probably win it.

The look on Koemans face when the reporter asked him if he was surprised at our team selection tonight was priceless. He basically said that they'd prepared for 1 team and got a totally different one.

And on another note apparently Stevie G has only started 1 of our last 7 away games in the CL! lol. I never knew that!

that was a rumour he sprained his wrist on the 8th game and redknapp twisted his ankle when he went to get a bandage for him.

Anyone remember Michael Stensgaard? Makes Chris Kirkland look like he was made from steel....

Former Liverpool reserve 'Keeper Michael Stensgaard Anfield career was brought to an untimely end after he managed to dislocate his shoulder while erecting an ironing board.

                            Pretty much.

They need a new Liverpool calamity keeper so they're doing their best to give Reina that title.

If you read Rafa's interview you get the sense he's not bothered about Reina's error at the weekend and wishes just to get on with things. The press don't want to see that happen though

The commentators were desperate for him to **** up yesterday. He done a very good punch in the first half were a corner come in and he punched it all the way out to the other throw in line cue the comments of "Ohh, he looked very shaky there, very nervy indeed" ******s.
