Who here is still willing to give the Americans the benefit of the doubt? They've backtracked on the stadium, the promies of Snoogy Doogy look empty, and after all the Benitez mess, does anyone have any faith in the way they are taking our club forward?

I'd say not looking great. I have concerns over their past business practices, the way they've treated previous sports franchises (e.g. like ****) and their (Hick's) personal politics.

When they back up what they said about Rafa before the CL final and that they would back him up then I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

If they didn't knew how much quality players costs then it shows how a badly taken takeover this is. That is a thing they should know when they buy the club and promises to back Rafa all the way.

Fair enough, if that's your stance...however what I 'fear' and what you have said so yourself is that you've made your mind up and that whatever is done now will do nothing to change your opinion of them. And this is what I believe many others will do too, and until the new stadium is unvealed I will be reserving my judgement. For us it's easy to sit here and then comment on hindsight, however nobody on here runs a football club of the magnitude of Liverpool and I can't see anyone being able to validly comment on what's going on.

I would never be too proud to say ive made a mistake and to be honest if that is proven to be the cas then no one will be happier than me.

To be honest my feelings arent worth a damn in this case but Liverpool Football Club is a big part of my life and, like me when I was a boy, I want my 2 sons to be proud to be a supporter of a unique football club, a club with class.

With the yanks in charge can I rightly tell my sons that this the case?

Good luck to them and I hope the new Stadium proves to be world class.

However what nobody can deny is that change has been happening and when change happens there is always a divide in opinion on whether it's good or not. However, in my opinion, it's better than being in a stale state. There's a long way to go and 6 months is not enough time to be basing an opinion on someone, in my opinion.

Time will tell, however I truely believe that the Americans have good intentions at heart and will not try to deceive or con us fans. I am fairly certain they don't take us fans for granted and I'm fairly certain that ultimately they want the best for the club. There will be hickups along the way, but at least there's progress, on and off the pitch. There is - with everything in life - always room for improvement. And at least this is the general direction in which this club is going.

I wish I shared your optimistic outlook but sadly I don't. If they had good intentions at heart and the way they have misled us has been unintentional and due to unforeseen circumstances, then it goes to prove that they're actually poor businessmen. I'm worried,and with justification as well.

As far as I know, yes.

If they both cost a similar amount how about as a PR exercise letting the supporter vote for the one they like the most?

I was thinking that at lunchtime. Looks like HSK have been asked to dwonscale their plans, and AFL asked to upscale theirs. We shall see what happens.

It's a step up from Moores, that is one positive thing.

If Moores had stayed then we would be building a not expandable 60k stadium. That's what a call bad business. We would have been forced to build a new one in 20-30 years time. Totally utter rubbish to even consider that option and even more rubbish to almost start building it.

Now we will get a stadium that we can fill week in week out. I doubt that we could fill an 80k stadium for example every week.

Not sure why I'm bothering to answer this, but at least get it straight - first of all that was several years ago, before Hicks even bought us, second how much is $240m in £££ and third that's over 10 years as well.

Yeah, it was the guys wages and works out to approx. £240,000 a week.
