Well feel free to pop your head up more regularly, we need more like you on here amongst the hysterical slobberers, drama queens, numpties and illiterates!"the correct decision would have been a penalty for us a red card for Gattuso and a yellow for Stevie"

Well in practically every interview they suggest they'll be backing Rafa significantly in the transfer market.Originally posted by Venton View PostI respect you mate but your last videos have all backed up my point on this. Are you going to provide some evidence that they haven't backed Rafa significantly?Originally posted by Dhavlos View PostWell in practically every interview they suggest they'll be backing Rafa significantly in the transfer market.
I haven't heard Rafa complaining about a lack of transfer funds

How much did we spend on Torres again? And what was our previous record spend on one player before that?Originally posted by Dhavlos View PostWell in practically every interview they suggest they'll be backing Rafa significantly in the transfer market."the correct decision would have been a penalty for us a red card for Gattuso and a yellow for Stevie"

Well that's if the 70K stadium comes off, after this latest backtrack I tend to think it won't and the excuse : planning permission.Originally posted by Slinky Skills View PostAs much as I'm dissapointed that they're not going ahead with the HKS design I'm pleased it will be a 70,000 seater which is massive. It is very good business sense and I still belive it will be very unique.
I think we'll get a "no frills" 60K seater

Not unconditionally, not once in all that - all in the context of a proper business plan. And I'm sure they will as well - in their terms a big outlay on Torres=big return on investment. All the rest was just a power struggle. I bet we sign Mascherano this year and spend big next summer. Maybe not United or Chelsea big but bigger than the rest. What more can we hope for?

I only posted them because it has been a lot of talking about what G&H said when they bought the club and after it. Now they can listen to them and base their own opinion on them and what have happened the last weeks.Originally posted by Venton View PostI respect you mate but your last videos have all backed up my point on this. Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

However you want to dress it up, net spend this summer was not significantly higher than it has been in previous seasons. Accounting for the revenue from the increased tv contracts plus the run to the CL final, I don't see that they have invested much more in transfers than the club itself has earned.Originally posted by Fiddy View PostHow much did we spend on Torres again? The key will be Jan, if Rafa is not given money to spend then that will be a big issue. And financing the Mascherano deal of course.White liquid in a bottle = Milk

Surely we as a club should be doing this no matter who the owners are.Originally posted by Dhavlos View PostWell the yanks are going to have to exploit the revenue earning potential of the club to its fullest, otherwise we might as well have stuck with Moores. You can agree with me, or you can be wrong.

Fair dos mate. I do think it's in their best interests to make this work. The stadium stuff doesn't worry me at all, I think it is central to their interests to have a nice big cash cow with 70,000 people paying to visit it. I hope the stuff with Rafa will all blow over (and I think it will), and the debt stuff is a non-issue - always going to happen.Originally posted by AFII View PostI only posted them because it has been a lot of talking about what G&H said when they bought the club and after it. We're saddled with them now so best we support them and our manager, and try to not to make it an issue of one against the other.
I reckon we will all be a bit more chilled out about it in the next month or two.

Oh absolutely. It's just that Moores and Parry seemed incapable of this, especially in the wake of #5. The point is that if Hicks & Gillette cannot prove to be a marked improvement in this department than the previous regime, then we might as well have stuck with Moores.Originally posted by Kilteragh View PostSurely we as a club should be doing this no matter who the owners are.White liquid in a bottle = Milk

I also think it's fair that Rafa should sell some players before he can spend again in the transfer market because we have a very big squad already and you can't add player after player without selling some of them.
We have some players that we can sell without having any effect on the team, like Sissoko, Carson, Kuyt and Guthrie.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
