If they were as strong financially, do you feel they would have struggled to take as much time to raise money ?

If someone meant business, all should have been in place to take this club forward as quickly as possible. The way it was done, was a total lack of professionalism.

Thing is AF they don't know themselves. They're still trying to bridge the loan - they've got just under 2 weeks. They clearly overstretched themselves when they took the club on otherwise this wouldn't be happening. Quite frankly the club deserves and NEEDS better, more financially capable owners than this. This isn't idle speculation this is based on their undignified scramble to raise the finance they promised they had.

The last few days people on here were saying, things along the line of, if they give rafa a contract extension after the meeting they'd be happy. See any sign? I don't

Surely its more a case of sitting back and digesting the 2 big presentations on which ground design to build......or did you expect them to decide there and then on which ground and announce it today? surely not.

If you were being truly objective you'd be prepared to give people the benefit of the doubt for believing the bad news stories. As you don't you can't claim to be objective as you are taking up a postition against them. Same thing applies for Sonsofthedesert

I am being objective.

I read what I see in the papers (via the internet). I read what you and others post on here (positive and negative). I also read the actual quotes from Hicks, Parry and Gilett to a lesser extent). I then assimilate that information and form an opinion.

If you're really interested (and I doubt it), my opinion is that T &G have not done as bad a job as many on here think. I think they have been guilty of incredibly bad timing with regard to the financial markets (their business model is based on borrowing. Nothing wrong with that in the past 15 years. In fact it was a licence to print money if you could add value to your acquisition).

They have also been very naive, and have been on a steep learning curve. They have also not helped themselves in terms of PR.

I'm going to cut them a bit of slack. They were never going to throw money away the same way Roman does. They've had to work to make their money not swindle their own country men and women.
They have to look at the risks involved for themselves and the club. Think the american sub prime "crisis" has also knocked them out of their stride a bit. If construction begins this year and we make another Torres-esk signing in the summer I'll be happy enough with G&H

It's not about just debts mate. The complete business plan stinks. They bought the club because it was an 'opportunity' for them to invest into football, without them having a ****ing clue what to do next. This is enough for me not to have confidence in them.

To be honest I expected all the debt to go on the club delighted its not so.

I certainly wasn't expecting a sugar daddy of roman proportions mate. It's just that I can't see us competing with our main rivals one year into it. They just don't seem to have a clue.

What deadline being put back? When did the CLUB actually announce publically that they were going to present plans to the public on any given date? The first quote I've seen (I could be wrong of course) with regards to these two new plans is Parry saying a decision will be made in the next two weeks. "Deadlines being put back" is pure speculation by the newspapers who had "sources close to the matter" (probably a bottle of ketchup at the table where the meeting was had) that there would be a 12th Jan announcement.

However the proposed completion date has already slipped back by a whole year but lets not worry about the lost revenue that's caused.
