Not getting excited at all, DIC want to make us their flagship, what better way to start than building the biggest club stadium in the country? Money for them is less of an issue, the exposure they get by doing that is worth a lot more.Originally posted by sonsofthedesert View PostI think your over thinking this and getting a bit too excited.
I doubt they'll come in here and just take the previous owners' design and adopt it as its own. They want to make their impact. At least that's my take of things.

LFC will still be an investment for DIC. They won't just throw money at the club like Abramovich. They will be looking for a return, which means they will have to be sensible.Originally posted by JohnDoe View PostNot getting excited at all, DIC want to make us their flagship, what better way to start than building the biggest club stadium in the country? I would like them to take on the original HSK design though, but that is probably wishful thinking.Oh I don't know.

That is exactly what I would love to happen but I think we just need to pray for DIC first.Originally posted by dom9 View PostLFC will still be an investment for DIC. When you open up the new AFL website the first flash image you see is the 'Parrybowl'. How strange...
AFL
Incidentally (or co-incidentally) the second image is the new Mohamed Bin Zayed Stadium in the UAE:
There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

I just had a look at that AFL website and I'm not inspired by any of the stadium designs on their front page.
One of them, I think is the new stand at Hearts. They all look a bit like Huddersfield's stadium.
They all look a bit dated, and a bit 90s.
The one thing T&G have done, is raise the stakes in stadium design with the HSK option. But at what price?Oh I don't know.

This just highlights the sheer lack of understanding that G+H have of the english financial markets. Surely they should know that buttons are the major milk chocolate based trading chips. School boy error on the part of the Americans.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.
