I think they've just reduced the capacity. It's the same design.

As far as I can remember we've never sort to build a 76,000+ stadium.

For one thing, the views for 1000s of fans would be dog****. Everyone I know that has sat in the 3-tier at Old Trafford have told me it's like watching ants play footy.

It looks the same just without so much steel cladding around the outside / inside.

Is the Kop 2 tiers? Or just a **** image?

The sides of the stadium are tucked in under the sides. You can see the side of the stands popping out from the outside now.

Looks like they have cut down on on office and museaum space to me.

It still looks great though, and that is a relief.
                    Oh I don't know.

I'm sure on the original plans it was for wheelchair access. It looks like corporate boxes in the picture though.

I think it's for disabled access

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

How long does it take to get planning permission? 1 year?

The Kop has changed quite a bit from the original plans.
