The sides of the stadium are tucked in under the sides. You can see the side of the stands popping out from the outside now.
Looks like they have cut down on on office and museaum space to me.
It still looks great though, and that is a relief.
It's all about opinion i suppose, i think it looks seriously ****e, i really expected more, it looks CHEAP, the design does'nt work with the materials, it did with the original, it's all PLASTIC & FOAM FILLED CRAP. IMO.
competing with the mancs. Especially if they will be expanding to 100,000 in the future. Match day revenue.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
They can't - maxed out at 76000 - The infrastructure can't handle an increase. the main stand which is the only bit left to work on is saddled next to a train track so they can't extend out or over the track
63k ? No I've read it'll be 61k. They've got planning permission for 61k, so it can be started immediately if they decide to.
My mistake, it was 61k not 63k.
Looks like they won't need new planning then from what has been said (2011 opening). At least there's half a chance that a shovel might get stuck in the ground this year and we might actually see some progress then.
My point ? It's obvious, we'll still be catching up in match day revenues.
Arsenal's capacity is only 60,000 but they earn more per match than United because they've got more executive boxes which are very expensive. Capacity isn't everything. Look at the ****ing Geordies...

They are filling in the last corners soon to add a further 7,000 seats which I think takes them up to 82,000 but they would need to re-route the railway line to expand any bigger than that which would cost too much.
There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.
I like it and it's about time we had some good news. Let's stop all this "Yanks Out" bollocks now and start supporting the club regardless of who owns it...
