I meant to say that hicks admitied he could do it.Originally posted by Resu View PostThey have?
I`ve just seen Hicks say he could do it, not that he have or would.
if they pay up for Mascher they`ve done OK moneywise.
There is debt on the club, but that was to be expected.
The rafa thing was handled very badly, but Rafa has to take some of the blame as well.
I`m not happy with the owners, but I`m feeling a little better now.
DIC has more money, but remember that there was serious doubts about them as well.
but we don't know if hs has not already.
Im, 100% behind LFC just don't support the owners.
i hope they have not added £17m to the loan just to buy Masch now and keep everyone sweet giving the impression that we can buy these sorts of players in the future.
I say, if the stadium starts to get built, we sign Masch and Rafa gets a new contract ill start supporting the owners and ill hold my had up to having a go at them but untill then i have my doubts.**********

if you zoom in on the picture it isnt 2 tier, there just seems to be a few rows missing on the left hand side that allows you to see into the stand behind the seats.Originally posted by homer1 View PostThe original plans indicated 60k seats in the neginning rising to 76k capacity, does anyone know if this is now going to be 71k from the beginning? Surely this will take an age to get planning for, especially with new transport infrastructure to be considered
I am happy with the new design for what it's worth although a little concerned about the Kop, can't figure out if they have gone for a 2 tier version which is surprising having put so much emphasis all along on it being the catalyst for the entire stadiumin january we were doomed.
in august we will rise from the ashes of ****e and march on again

It's an interesting point - what do we do as supporters do when the owners fail to act in "the Liverpool way"? When most teams lose their supporters boo often enough - when we lose we (in theory at least) applaud the opposition. So when the owners publicly admit to stabbing the manager in the back, do we keep silent and carry on regardless, with the moral high ground perhaps, or do we resort to fighting fire with fire and act in an "un-Liverpool way" too?Originally posted by rushscored4 View PostI respect your opinion, Neil, unlike some of the pricks on this site (and others and especially those embarrassing ****s who ring '606', etc). However, I'm just sick of how some so-called 'fans' are not happy unless they're not happy. I've made my views about the protests known and I've had lots of private messages of support from people who admit they haven't got the bollocks to say anything publicly.
I'm no fool. I know Hicks and Gillett have lied and are probably only in it for the money but I don't care about them or support them. Or DIC. Or Rafa or any other individual. I support Liverpool Football Club and I always will. Therefore regardless of what is going on behind the scenes or on the pitch I will give my unconditional backing to the club without resporting to pointless and - in my opinion - embarrassing protests.

You clearly see it as the former - others make the latter call. Perhaps you're right but I can understand why some would see it one way and some the other.
Of course there are some - perhaps plenty - who won't have a clue and just think all that matters is giving vent to their feelings.
.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

How much do we actually know about what the Yanks have actually been doing? The stuff in the press? They all claimed it was a done deal that DIC would move in. And guess what they were wrong. THe press get on bandwagons and generate stories. We all know this.
THe Klinsmann stuff what do we know happened behind closed doors? Did Rafa threaten to quit or do his usual or having his agent leak stories about interest from various clubs to strengthen his hand? Did they look at Klinsmann as an insurance policy (which in my opinion is fine). When Hicks publicly revealled this was Rafa acting up again and hence it was a way of keeping him in his place?
Or are the two yanks just a pair of useless ****s?
We dont know enough of the internal detail.
What we should do now is stop all this fecking about and concentrating on football and in particular ensuring Champions League football for next season.
We should make a fuller judgement on the Yanks in 1-2 years.Last edited by redheart; 25-01-08, 12:38 PM.

Same as Neil on this. In a perfect world we could all sit back and take the moral high ground. But I cant help but get the feeling that the owners will take note of the recent outcry. If there hadnt been a protest in March to back Rafa then maybe he'd of been sacked. If there wasnt so much ill will towards the owners perhaps they wouldnt be offering to fund the Mascherano deal (speculation but you see what Im getting at).Originally posted by Neil Young View PostIt's an interesting point - what do we do as supporters do when the owners fail to act in "the Liverpool way". We can revert to the Liverpool Way once the owners have learned their lesson otherwise they'll think they can get away with murderK ris90210

I agree, but this a start. If they think it`s enough to restore the fans faith in them they`re wrong, but this is better then most of the things that where predicted.Blank

What do you mean open corners? as far as I can tell there is glass there, or do you mean no seats?Originally posted by AFII View PostWill be difficult to get a good atmosphere with open corners

, but I don't find the protests embarrasing so let people protest I can't see the harm.
This great club will be around for a lot longer than any of us no matter what people think and this is some positive news, take it as such. You learn nothing reading signatures.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

****in DEADLY serious, Standing alone is'nt the way to judge it, Compare it to the TRULY iconic & magnificent designs around, i think nearly ALL the stadia the Jap's designed for the world cup were better & far more imaginative, The METAL cladding made this stadium what it was, now it looks cheap, a bigger different shaped version of all the cheap stadia out there. That's my opinion, you can get excited if yoyu want, & i'm glad for you honestly, but it does nothing for me. Sorry.Originally posted by ronniedrew View Postare you serious?
