From the overhead view, it doesn't look as though the size of the opening would allow much sunlight onto the pitch - haven't other clubs had problems with their pitches because of this?

I tell you what, if the Turkish consortium had the club's best interests at heart and stuck to their word, and actually backed the manager instead of plotting behind his back to oust him when he calls them out on their broken promises I would have no problem with supporting their regime and they would certainly be preferable to the yanks.Originally posted by rushscored4 View PostI heard a Turkish consortium were interested in buying us. Would you prefer them?White liquid in a bottle = Milk

They aren't gaurenteed any increase. All local people are against it, also the corners are done already aren't they?Originally posted by rushscored4 View PostToo bloody right...
Arsenal's capacity is only 60,000 but they earn more per match than United because they've got more executive boxes which are very expensive. Capacity isn't everything. Look at the ****ing Geordies...
You just can't please some people...
They are filling in the last corners soon to add a further 7,000 seats which I think takes them up to 82,000 but they would need to re-route the railway line to expand any bigger than that which would cost too much.

Places like Arsenal and Ajax where they've had problems use special lighting rigs they wheel out onto the pitch for non-match daysOriginally posted by Helios Creed View PostFrom the overhead view, it doesn't look as though the size of the opening would allow much sunlight onto the pitch - haven't other clubs had problems with their pitches because of this?

I'd say health and safety. If indeed it has to be included.Originally posted by dom9 View PostI think it's for disabled accessBill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I know what you are saying mate, we already knew you were **** in bedOriginally posted by rushscored4 View PostThe Yanks lied. Rafa Parry lies. Rafa lies. Stevie lies. I lie (occasionally) and my missus tells me I'm great in bed. As the great philosopher Esther Rantzen once said: "that's life"...

but, the point I would make is, if we just say nothing to the yanks and be quiet and support the team, they will walk all over us and take even more liberties. I read yesterday in one of the papers that the yanks are going to try and tie up a deal for Mascher to appease the fans. If that is true, it seems the fans voicing their concerns has already paid dividends.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:

Don`t we need to sort the infra-structure if we exceed 60k?Originally posted by sonsofthedesert View PostThink it looks good and almost identical to the original. If they base the 1st lanning app on 60k seats they may go for an application for a variation on the plan which should only take a short period of time. I can see them starting the building in a few months.
The train line and stuff could take a while.Blank

At last some sense, these people saying oh dont worry, & why are you hysterically slagging H&G OFF, Nothing's changed, we expected the new plans, we expected an attempt to win the fans over with a signing or two, it's what these fellas do best ffs. Why all the bloody optimism all of a sudden, do we all SUDDENLY believe what they say, i dont nor will i. I'm a REALIST, i'll believe it when i see it not hear it from H&G.Originally posted by bazza76 View PostI know what you are saying mate, we already knew you were **** in bed
