if they pay up for Mascher they`ve done OK moneywise.
There is debt on the club, but that was to be expected.
The rafa thing was handled very badly, but Rafa has to take some of the blame as well.
I`m not happy with the owners, but I`m feeling a little better now.
DIC has more money, but remember that there was serious doubts about them as well.

So, basically, since they ballsed up and couldn't afford the first design they paraded with much bravado, now when the new one looking almost similar is released, meaning a further year delay on the finishing date and the revenue to follow, we should be happy?

Plus it wont get built anyway.
However if by a small miracle it does get built LFC will be in debt by nearly half a billion quid. That makes me over the moon what a fine pair Hicks and Gillett are.**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.

Lots on here seem to be, i feel sick myself how easy it's been for H&G to suddenly have FANS now saying 'Lets stop this Yank Bashing, support the club,' I'VE NEVER STOPPED SUPPORTING THE CLUB. But they dont win me over or stop MY fight to get them out.Originally posted by tomasjj View PostSo, basically, since they ballsed up and couldn't afford the first design they paraded with much bravado, now when the new one looking almost similar is released, meaning a further year delay on the finishing date and the revenue to follow, we should be happy?

i agree with alot of what you say.i'm not a big fan of the yanks myself and if i had a choice i would probably go with DIC.but unlike some idiots here i can relise that whoever takes over by,they will take loans out against the club and stadium.also we must remember rafa isn't blameless in some of the poor pr liverpool have done this season,it was rafa who brought the behind the scenes mess to the public attention first.Originally posted by Resu View PostThey have?

Have you got an idea as to what materials exactly they will be cladding the new stadium in mate?.Originally posted by REDrascal View Post****in DEADLY serious, Standing alone is'nt the way to judge it, Compare it to the TRULY iconic & magnificent designs around, i think nearly ALL the stadia the Jap's designed for the world cup were better & far more imaginative, The METAL cladding made this stadium what it was, now it looks cheap, a bigger different shaped version of all the cheap stadia out there. That's my opinion, you can get excited if yoyu want, & i'm glad for you honestly, but it does nothing for me. Sorry.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Can you let me know another way we can build a £300m+ stadium without the club paying for it?Originally posted by Pacman View PostNo

People really should separate the stadium and it's costs with the LIES regarding placing the purchasing of the club onto the clubs books. There is a HUGE difference.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

The amazing thing now is that it looks like Parry has stopped them from putting the purchase debt onto the club, if stories are to be believed.

That's not the issue. The issue is that such a loan combined with this "re-financing" will represent a crushing debt that the club will probably crumble under the weight of.Originally posted by Cacodemon View PostCan you let me know another way we can build a £300m+ stadium without the club paying for it?

It certainly wont be the EYE CATCHING steel that the design initially had, It will most likely be the same stuff on Warehouses & similar developments where looks dont matter.Originally posted by bazza76 View PostHave you got an idea as to what materials exactly they will be cladding the new stadium in mate?.

It's the issue raised by many people on here - as far as I know - we can't wave a magic wand and hey presto a new 70,000 seater stadium is built. It needs to be paid for, and the club has to pay for it. So the club is going to be saddled with a huge debt. Get used to it, it HAS to happen, otherwise we have to stay in the current stadium.Originally posted by bigfooty View PostThat's not the issue. What is wrong is where H&G have tried (or succeeded) into placing the loan they took out to purchase the club onto the clubs books. They said they wouldn't - I believe they've lied.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

I think that sums up my feelings perfectly
I don't have a massive problem in theory with the club being in debt to pay for the stadium so long as it doesn't have a drastic effect on our transfer needs - the Scum have done that and it hasn't effected them in the slightest
I do have a problem with G&T announcing smugly that they wouldn't follow suit, getting the fans onside as a result and then going back on their wordsAt a football club there's a holy trinity- the players the manager and the supporters, Directors dont come into it, they are only there to sign the cheques " - Bill Shankly
If only

So that you can still see the game while you are queueing to spend a fortune at half time? Wheelchair section?Originally posted by homer1 View PostDid notice that Matt, looks a bit sloppy though & wondered why they would leave it blank - must be a reason for this??
Suppose we'll have to wait until we get a detailed press release (not from Dot Cotton obviously
