And the stadium "debt" as you call it is no such thing. They have 60 million towards it from this latest loan. That wont last them 5 minutes, it will get the ball rolling and thats all. To build the thing, they will have to borrow another 200 million roughly.

Whose name do you think they are going to put the stadium 200 mill loan under? there ma? nope mate, it will be us, either directly, or under kop holdings.

    they are cunts.
I'll provide a cynical and sarcastic reply once I've sobered up Would be too difficult at the moment, especially as I've discovered Captain Morgan's Private Stock

Dont talk to me like im a dickhead.

If the debt was always going to go on us then fine, say so at the outset, then the club and the fans can decide wether theyre happy with that arrangement. But to come in and only get hold of the club because you have publicly stated that you will "not do a man united. No debt will be placed on the club" is a ****house trick.

The obvious differences between the 2 can be seen.
*We seem to have lost a row of executive boxes in the main stand.
          *Roof designs have changed
*The 2 corner sections supports have been altered. They were a feature, but now just 2 uprights
*More seats in the bottom 2 corners of the Kop
I think HKS have done a great job.

The Kop looks wider and shorter in the new design though. Possibly less imposing. I'm also not sure about the walkway thing go through the Kop.

I wonder if the acoustics, that were so heavily talked about with the original design will be affected.
          Oh I don't know.

I always thought that if we wanted to up the capacity from 60k to the 70k region then the transport infrastructure would have to be improved, with possibly reopening a closed rail line?

            Is this right?
No, no, no.........I'm only scary 'cause I'm hairy

Big year for me 2008, hope it all goes well for me, oh, and you lot too!

I thought the first HKS design had the same walkway in the KOP has it just been coloured in red in the pics above? i am sure it was grey in the official pics.

Also we have seats in the new design as opposed to red carpet everywhere in the old one !!!

Given the similarity betewen this one and the old design, and the fact that the AFL bloke had on his CV "LFC stadium 61k expandable to 73k", it could well have been part of the design brief that it had to be possible to begin building straight away using the existing planning consent for the two previous designs? Maybe RS4s contact could confirm?

I cannot hepl but notice however, that the weather is worse on the new version. Just look at them clouds. That worries me.
A mate of mine works with the cloud design consultancy that will be providing the weather for New Anfield.

The original design specified cumulonimbus while the latter design is predicated on altocirrus being the dominant strand. As everyone knows altocirrus is of course a far cheaper option as it allows the roof to be full of holes due to the fact there is no need for cover from rain. However...

I'm no cloud architect but that won't stop me speculating that we are going to incur a huge and ongoing maintenance cost to ensure that the natural raininess of the North-West is diverted away from the new stadium (and onwards to its natural home - Manchester).
                  .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Would they have bought them if they needed a new stadium?
It`s gonna be 10 yrs before we can compete with ManU on a level playing field, get used to it.

We all know Chelski`s situation. We`d have won the league atleast twice in the good old days.

Times have changed, this will take awile,BLAME Morres and Parry.

Wake up and smell the coffee people. There is no quick fix.
How many times does this have to be pointed out. I will spell it out. Again-

We are not where the Gooners were a few years ago, far from it. The current loan the Septics have taken out against the club (the division between half the amount to the parent company being nothing but nominal) is for the purchase of the club itself.

We haven't actually taken out the loan for the vast majority of the stadium cost yet, we are just subsidising their purchase.

Of course we arent gonna get a stadium without a loan, but that's not the issue of major concern.

The capacity is obviously a big factor because what they're planning is another 11,000 bums on seats meaning that we may have to put some cash towards improving the infrastructure.

I wonder if we can start the build and then re-apply for the increased capacity as was the clubs intention all along?

Good points, to which noone seems to have the answer.

Very little has been made of this, I am surprised.
