I think the CC is an important game. Any win over Chelsea is important for our psychology. We have to continue to build on our winning mentality. If it was against Reading or someone I wouldn't really care less.

the optimistic buzz on here at the moment is nearly as funny as the pessimistic one after we play a few ****e games. fair play though - we look good at the moment. or at least we are able to destroy ****e teams.

would hate to go out of the CC to the bluescum but don't care after that. obv marseille is a must win but that is one serious test of our team... thoughts of sitting on an early lead for eighty-five ****in minutes will have me back in the isolation wing... is ciisse their only real "threat"?

we should beat reading away and portsmouth at home. ****in scum though - we definitely have a better team. **** it - torres brace to win it and ronaldo to be scalped in a despicable but totally understandable post-match brawl.

I think we should put out a young team versus Chelsea and test out the likes of Hobbs and Lucas against a top team. We need to know how they handle it and the CC gives a good opportunity to find out while not significantly impacting upon our season.

For the owners I suspect the Marseille game is the real key one in thos fixtures. IMO winning that would also be a huge confidence boost concidering where we were in the group a few weeks ago.

The Pompey and United games will go a fair way to deciding how optimistic I am of us winning the league as we head into the new year. I've been feeling very positive about the team since the Blackburn game (which I thought was the first in which our pattern of play re-emerged even if the result was disappointing).

Who plays in the game against Chelsea in the CC will depend on how we do in Marseille, if we win (which I think we'll do easily) then expect to see a younger team, if by some freak act of nature we don't go through in the Champ Lge then all of a sudden the CC with Chelsea beaten and Man U out is looking quite an easy option to pick up an early trophy so I think he'll play a stronger team.

                    I think we'll do them 0-3.
I hope yer right mate, imo its the biggest game out of the 5 after the manure one.

if we get Agger back for Man U I think we should take them at home. they were so so so lucky last year and we Rafa needs to get one off whiskeybake. I am surprised at how good we're playing without some very key players. Arsenal have beeen lucky (yess they've made their own luck I spose) on several occasions to nick a late goal and thats all there is between us.
