Of course it's possible. I hear so many people saying "Oh i'm a big liverpool fan...get to the games? Oh no...i cant possibly get a ticket..."

That in itself tells me they dont care enough to have tried, because if they tried and looked into it, they'd see that if you put the effort in, it's actually very easy 90% of the time.

When I was 7 or 8 I wrote a long letter to LFC asking if I could get some tickets to a game at Anfield. I even coloured in the border of all 4 sheets with red pencil.

I received a small card thing with team photo and reproduced signatures -which I treasured, and a letter explaining that tickets were all taken up by season ticket holders.

Due to this message instilled in me during my formative years, for the next thirty odd years I believed that I would never be able to go to a game at Anfield, until a few years ago, when a guy at work who was a member of the local supporters club said he could get me a ticket and I finally went to some games including one against Manure, which was one of the most moving experiences of my life, even though we lost.

this will actually be my 5th lfc game of the season.....which i would consider pretty good for an overseas supporter....(admitedly one game was porto away) I usually go to about 10 or 12 games in adfield per season and maybe 3 or 4 away games......

also, we havn't "suddenly become ****" - we were always way way ****in way behind when it comes to ticket sales........

Also, i am on a the season ticket waiting list for about 5 years....

Fell free to tell me I'm wrong, but I reckon anyone with internet access from work and from home can afford to shell out 30 odd quid every other Saturday.

Obviously I dont have a wife/kids etc, so it's easy for me to say.....

For some people it's money for others it time, I'm very lucky and can organise my work to let me buy tickets 99% of the time, couldn't do that if I did shift work etc. It's when the sale is unplanned that I'm in trouble. Lovely people on here have been known to help out though.

Nah, i'm only messing. I suppose when you're fortunate enough that you can get tickets without any bother, it's easy to forget it's different for other people.

What if like me you start at stupid early o'clock, cant use your moby for long periods cause of work issues, have set break times that cannot be altered and live a very very long way from the ticket window and by the way i#m also a member of the newport supporters branch who used to get over 80 tickets per match but now are lucky to get 30 odd, which means you have to get to the shop at stupid early o'clock and queue up before it opens
