Have you got a problem with that observation, if so you can either discuss it or you can keep acting like a big baby.

    Either way, I'm not interested

I think we could all list at least ten reasons why we lost today before we got to the two defensive midfielders issue.

      I know I could.

But don't call my bluff because I can't be arsed.

Maybe you think you can, all results are obviously multifactorial win lose or draw, but it is a remarkable coincidence how our good run comes to an end the very match that Rafa picks 2 defensive midfielders rather than 1.

It's a coincidence which I decided to point out before someone shovelled sand into the skando's vagina.

          He probably did that.

If we win against Marseille then Rafa can probably spend £15m-£20m more than he can if we don't win.

          IMO.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

then there can be no coincidence?

Sometimes it's better to walk away and live to fight again.

                  Paraphrasing but essentially I agree.

I know we lost today and it was a poor performance but the overreaction by some (admittedly usernames I haven't seen before) is ridiculous. I know I am prone to it during a match but in the cold light of day we lost one match, not the whole season,

Hate post match threads so won't read it all, but the performance was poor no escaping that, but it's not the end of the world, if we were offered the chance to go unbeaten till december at the start of the season we'd all have taken it. But to put it in perspective, as long as we get the right result v marseille and put on a good show v the mancs then all will be rosy.

lets not forget mancs lost to Bolton the other week, these things happen but it's how we react to them that will decide if we're going to cut it this season or not. We didn't get the rub of green with 3 dodgy penno decisions today, it just happens sometimes. Rafa had to rest players given the coming games, it's just a pitty we aren't yet at the stage where we can rotate class players with more class players, but we're getting there, and come this jan transfer window i'll think we'll be pretty much set squad wise, with maybe the odd big money buy coming in the summer.

Anyways onwards and upwards, lookin forward to next week

Don't understand your reasoning, it can still be a coincidence even though results are multifactorial.

What I mean is, is it also a coincidence that we lost because Hobbs made his debut? Or because we started without any wide midfielders? Or because Sissoko started? Or because the referee made some questionable decisions? Or as you say, because we played with two defensive midfielders?

You could reason that all or any of the above are coincidences, or, as I prefer, that none of them are.

I know that you don't favour playing two defensive midfielders and you could be right that was the reason for our defeat today. But in a match with so many other, clear, potentially contributing factors, it is one hell of an assertion to make.

I still can't understand why we didn't sell Sissoko in the last window.

That's is still a decision if you ask me. We really don't need him in any games at all in the PL and only in one possible game in the CL.

We need Riise or Crouch in some games but to keep a player we could have got £10m or so for and that really is only to any use if we play Barcelona is very weird.
