I have to say that I'm going out somewhere away from a telly or radio. I feel pretty nervous about this and I hate the crap radio speculation about this match that I heard this morning - "if Liverpool lose Rafa might be out of a job". It's all bollocks and I'll feel better come Sunday with 5 minutes to go when I'm hating the Mancs once more.

I was thinking about doing the same, but don't think I will be able to do it. I'm very scared about this game and Sunday's, living on my nerves at the moment- still it's a good way to lose weight!

This game is what this club is about, we know what it means to be backs to the wall and we relish it.

          Bring it on.

Knock-out rounds starts here, should be keeping that mentality

I worry about their attacking line, but if we keep our heads we should bring it home

I'll settle for a 87th minute 1-0 winner mate! This is going to be a tough one!

Even the "Stad Velodrome" has an invincible air about it!

It may not be bollox but he may decide to leave rather than be pushed. the fact is that if we fail to qualify, we lose out on a lot of cash and it will be a little like the leeds situation (although not as bad) where they spent big in the summer, expecting to get it back in the CL. Also Rafa wants players in Jan and if we don't have the money to buy them he won't be a happy camper.

although in saying all that it's still not likely so come on the Reds!

I hope Lucas plays, He's a quality player and I think he plays really well with Gerrard. He's great defensively as well as attack, I haven't seen such a good midfield prospect since ...well since Stevie came on the scene.

Reina, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Arbeloa, Benayoun, Gerrard, Lucas, Kewell, Kuyt, Torres

I'd go with: (from what we have available)

                      ---------------reina---------------

                      Finnan-----Hyypia----Carra------Arbeloa

                      Babel-------Gerrard---Masher-----Kewell

                      ------------Crouch----Torres-----------

I think Babel will be a MASSIVE player for us tonight. If he starts of course!

i think crouch will be more important.

in europe, defenders seem scared of him, leaving more space for torres

Sorry but that's total tosh. Getting out of the group gets us one more round of the tournament - ONE. This one round (the last 16) will earn us a guaranteed couple of million quid (3m at the absolute most) that's all. It's certainly not enough to make or break a transfer window let alone the club as whole ala the Leeds situation.

The value of getting out of the group is continuously overstated by the media since it gives them another stick to beat teams over the head with. The truth is that going out in the group stage is not massively different to going out in the last 16 - which remember is all we are guaranteed and so all we can budget for in January. To say anything else is just sensationalist nonsense.

I actually am really looking forward to this one. I don't give a flying **** to be honest who does it for us, as long as someone does! I fancy Babel to cut them up with his pace on the break though.

*checks odds on babel to score*

That's true but he also gets penalised a lot more by referees away from home.
