Aye, that's the thing. They love telling of the dross that we buy, but not the dross that the others buy.
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

To call JP dross is a bit harsh mate.

I meant it from their point of view, or the way they talked about Liverpool.

No worries, I should have worded it clearer in the first place!

Dunphy 'qualifying' his earlier prediction by saying 'it depends on Marseille' amply shows how every bit of Liverpool analysis provided by RTE is linked to the quality of the opposition.

Without fail, doubts are expressed pre-game about Rafa and our ability to deliver, and then every subsequent unpredicted triumph is just brushed aside in the aftermath because the 'opposition are poor.' When they beat us at Anfield they weren't poor, no, Liverpool were 'poor.'
They went as far as to express concern that if we were drawn against a 'big side' in next round, like Barcelona or Real etc., we might suffer, despite the fact we've been routinely dealing with sides like this for the last three years under Rafa. It beggars belief.

No matter what the opposition, credit is due to us for needing to win three out of three in a massive competition against a backdrop of injuries and boardroom unrest, but you'd never get any acknowledgement of that achievement from RTE unless, of course, it's Man United that's involved, who they wank over incessantly despite their rank lack of achievement against decent sides in Europe.
