I think the world and his mother probably accepts that Barca are the biggest european 'giants' out there, in terms of football.Originally posted by fredo View PostWe're more of a giant than Barca. We won it 5 times.
They should fear us, not the other way round.
Obviously you disagree, which doesnt surprise me.

I saw loads of Sevilla fans when they were over for the White Heart Lane game as for some reason they had their coaches parked outside our offices (may be doing a tour of London or something). They seemed very friendly and jovial, singing their songs, not a can of beer between and weren't pissed up like when Johnny Englisher is abroad.Originally posted by The Glove View PostThats because Spurs fans are ******s. But knowing Spurs fans as I do and what brainless morons they are and the constant poisonous vitriol that they spout and their delusions of grandeur, I am well inclined to agree with the Glove's sentiments.White liquid in a bottle = Milk
Purslow = C*nt

Well you're already wrong, because Inter cant draw Fenerbahce.Originally posted by SouthAfricaRed View PostI dont believe that the Champions League draw is really fair so I predict this will be it
Liverpool vs Barcelona
Arsenal vs Porto
Real Madrid vs Schalke
Inter Milan vs Fenerbache
AC Milan vs Olympiacos
Chelski vs Roma
Manure vs Celtic
Sevilla vs Lyon
Lets see how close I get

On what criteria are barca the biggest?Originally posted by DJS View PostI think the world and his mother probably accepts that Barca are the biggest european 'giants' out there, in terms of football.

The only things you can judge club size on is the trophy cabinet and fan base. On both of these we are ahead of them, particularly the trophy cabinet.
Barca are a great name, but look past the name to what they've actually done and it's a different story. For all the expensive flair players and huge stadium they've got they have achieved less than us.

Forget the 'biggest club' issue, it means very little in the context of this game. But they're the strongest side.
They're the best footballing side in the world and 90% of people recognise that they're the best side out there.
They've 'achieved less than us' historically, of course that's true.
But they're the world's top team and only a fool would fail to notice this.

They may play the prettiest football but it doesn't mean they're the top team. They're not European or Spanish champions are they.Originally posted by DJS View PostOn footballing ones...

You can say the same about Arsenal domestically. They've played the most watchable football for several years but have won nothing.
The best 'footballing' side is not necessarily the winning side.

Yeah, so, ner ner na ner ner."Even men with steel hearts love to see a dog on the pitch". It generates a warmth around the ground that augurs well for mankind and that's what life's about. Trouble is these days you never see a dog on the pitch".

It's commonly accepted by most people with a clue, that Barcelona are the best team in europe at the moment. Whether or not they live upto this billing remains to be seen, but the majority of non-blinkered people with some football knowledge will pinpoint them as the best team out there.
Quite why you're arguing this fact is beyond me, and strikes me as highly pointless.
