    Babel and Torres

It's frightening to think ones 20 the others 23.. I really hope we get to see these two play up front together before the end of this season, after tonight I think they would scare the **** out of defences with their fantastic touch on the ball and their frightening pace, and calm finishing.

It just shows us give Rafa decent money and he will NOT FAIL in buying some of the best young stars of tomorrow... Thierry and Wayne who?

Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

Babel is one of these players who is not totally comfortable either on the right or up front, and to an extent is still finding his way. I don't mean that he cannot play in either position, because he has proved that he has amazing skill, vision and boy he can finish.

He is still finding his feet to an extent and I think he is displaying almost the exact traits that a young Henry did. In time I see Babel 'creating' his own position and using his pace and skill, and striking instincts to make him into a great playmaker and goalscoring machine.

Henry was never really an out and out striker and many of his goals were self created or scored when he came in from the left....I think Babel will be a very similar kind of player, and after getting used to the EPL and LFC this season, I hope we'll all be licking our lips with him and Torres leading our attack next season.......

Both of them have skill, pace and strength in abundance and Babel is capable of hitting the ball both as hard and accurately as Stevie.

Yeah I was really excited when we were negotiating with him in the summer as he was very impressive in the U21 Eruos. I don't think a lot of supporters realised just how good he is for his age and under the guidance of Rafa he can become a world beater - and the boy has a shot and a half on him.

But his composure in front of goal to beat the keeper where he waited till the perfect moment to touch the ball just past (might have been thru his legs) the keeper and slot it in the empty net, really impressed me.

It's good to have some decent finishers in our team again

I'm happy that Rafa don't rush Babel and play him from the start more often and looks more long term than short term.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

yes, he is introducing him to our style of play slowly, like Agger. It's great to see because I reckon Babel is going to be awesome.

As for Torres, I heard that American guy on Talksport about 2 or 3 years ago talk about Rooney (when everyone was saying he was the best player on the planet and was going to be one of the all time greats) and he said that Torres in Spain could easily be argued to be as good if not better than Rooney. He was right.

Torres didn't play that good his last two seasons in Spain but he played out wide and had to do all the work himself upfront when they played him as a striker.

            Very strange decisions.

Two IMPACT PLAYERS, what we've been crying out for.

None of this namby pamby 'wait to see what happens and then react to it'. Torres and Babel are players who dont react to what happens, they MAKE it happen themselves.

Babel's a poacher IMO. He pounces on defensive mistakes in positioning or in possession.

Torres makes things happen for himself and others because he has that extra bit of class to find space in tight areas. Something a young Fowler also possessed.

Babel's pace and explosive streak can make things happen too. Easily.

All his big buys have been a success i.e Torres,Xabi,Reina and babel hopefully

                    Apart from Nando

...the players that clearly werent his first choice like Antonio Nunez, Craig Bellamy, Josemi, Kromkamp and JP have been poor to be fair.

Give him big money to buy big player and watch them become big stars

Nando wasn't a big buy though. He only cost 6mill didnt he?

Real wanted £8m but Rafa got it down to £6m.

Yep, again, Rafa should be given credit for his buying this season. Torres, Babel, Yossi, Lucas and Voronin, all quality players who have greatly improved the squad. They'll only get better.

I was crying out for Babble to come on for Torres last night and when he did I thought Yes !! perhaps Rafa just might have a striking role in mind for him long term. Although he does not look completely comfortable on both roles right now,I can see him doing most damage as a front man, he can beat Torres for pace FFS, a little more confidence and he will destroy teams just like El Ninio
