'El Cabrito' translates literally as "the goat" which of course is a completely different type of kid!

Just a man and his will to survive

So many times, it happens too fast
You change your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive

      Chorus:
It's the eye of the tiger, it's the cream of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
And he's watchin' us all in the eye of the tiger

Face to face, out in the heat
      Hangin' tough, stayin' hungry
They stack the odds 'til we take to the street
For we kill with the skill to survive

      chorus

Risin' up, straight to the top
Have the guts, got the glory
Went the distance, now I'm not gonna stop
Just a man and his will to survive
      QED...

Your humour is very pedantic Ian... which i like. I reckon a night at the pub with you would be highly petty, though amusing, if not for onlookers.

Thanks but I was being factual and not trying to be humourous...

Ythere may have been attempts made at the song fernando before but none stuck because they werent good enough, imo we could've made a great song for Torres to that tune.

Maybe its because people on internet forums live all over the World and they can't make it to the games or they don't live in Liverpool but love the club just as passionately and want to do their bit.

They nicked The Entertainer anyway. The first time I heard it was Olympiakos fans at Anfield in the UEFA Cup in 2001.

Milan use it too, as do many other European teams. It's just a song that lends itself to football chants ... the latest one that has spread through Europe like wildfire is the riff from "Seven Nation Army" - we even sing "Jav-ier Masc-heran-o" to it.

Not again. Doubtless those who continue to sing it become indignant when the Mancs sing their bile. It’s ****ing ridiculous.

Although I'm not keen on the Seven Nation Army/Mascherano chant. Just don't think it works or is very inspiring.

Might have something to do with me not liking the riff in the first place , but it's just so pedestrian IMO.

Sadly, I heard it in Athens and at Citeh last season sang by blokes even older than me... :whatever:
