but they are businessman and they have to protect there 300million investment, do you honestly believe that they would put that at risk?

surely if they were really interested in sacking rafa, they would be making moves now such as the academy set up et, not letting rafa get involved in everything. the more he is involved in, the bigger **** up it will be to let him leave.

Some things are irrational mate. I mean, when tempers flare, things could be said in the heat of the moment and which could damage relationships. I've seen this first hand ... Some people never accept being ridiculed ... We don't really know what's been said behind closed doors but there's clearly something wrong in the background.

On the other hand, he's been quick to dismiss some rumours about Hicks selling his shares. Before the americans came here, he was always pretty vocal about defending our manager in the media.

Funny how before the biggest game of the season when we go into the scum game in the best shape we've been in MANY a year and when we should all be talking about how we're going to tear those inbreds a new one, certain reds are getting all doom and gloom if not downright hystercal about who said what or didn't!
Funny how qieroz and ferguson both come out to "praise Rafa's achievments" in their sly way, while at the same time stoking the rumours that Rafa is on his way out. And some of our own lap it up and stoke the fires further.
First tactic in warfare is to divide the ranks, thus making an assault that much easier. It looks like someone's doing a great job.

I dont disagree that there definitely seems to be a parry/benitez issue. seems Parry is brown nosing to keep his job and Benitez knows he is **** hot and feels he doesnt need to.

All i would say is the Americans are not stupid, i personally cant see waht Parry does particularly well but if they choose Parry over Benitez, he has them seriously hoodwinked!!

The thing about this situation is that it is so open for speculation. It may well be a case of a mountain over a molehill.

IMO Benitez got a bit frustrated by vast sums of money not being just given to him no questions asked, and made a mistake by saying something to the media. Hicks bit back and Rafa realised that what he said was out of order. Hicks has accepted this and they will talk this week about transfers and the direction of the club.

They've too much to lose by sacking Rafa. First of all you need an adequate replacement. Secondly, the fans and players are behind him, so for the Hicks and Gillette to sack him would be putting the future of their investment all in the hands of one man, the new manager. This is not going to happen.
