The amount of conjecture is hitting an all time record, even the guy from the the Telegraph is spouting off bull****. I agree with you wholeheartedly, although your eloquence is somewhat thwarted by the uncecessary expletives. Sound businessmen will not risk their investment regardless of the clapptrapp that Bascombe seems to be purveying in the "News of the Toilet"

Rafa will be here in the summer and make a bid for Benzema. He will also snap up Olaf Mellberg as defensive cover on a freebie geebie.

Klaaaaas Jan Huuuuuuntelar is in Rafa's sights should Benzema reject him.

lets get all the fans to think Rafa will get sacked cos of a minor bust up, play it out in the media for all to see, then make an announcement that the new stadium will have to be down priced, so that we can keep the fans happy, by not sacking Rafa and being able to fund some of his transfers.
This way the fans are happy Rafa is still here and they get less stick over the stadium as it's the lesser of 2 evils.

Total ****e I know, but there may be a n element of truth in there somewhere,

                  here's hoping anyway.
i doubt that is whats going on mate. I don't think they are that calculating.
In an ideal world, we will get the new stadium and keep Rafa. Here is to hoping too lol.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                  * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

We have to look at the situation logicaly. Some are saying on here that Rafa wil be gone by the end of the season as reported by wherever.
That is bollocks, nobody knows **** all.

How much would it cost to replace Rafa and his squad for example, how many unsettled players would their be, all the work that has gone on in the background with the youth setup. It is sheer lunacy to sugest Rafa will be sacked, especially as I think we will have a good season this year. When the yanks came in they said they did not expect us to win the title this year. Now all of a sudden they do?. The title is still not beyond us anyway. Same as the European cup.

The stadium, it is looking likely that we may have to modify the plans yet again. Which is embarrasing to say the least. So does anyone really think that the yanks are going to sack Rafa and downscale the quality of the new stadium? as brave as they might be, they are not that brave.

So if we keep the new plans, it is a heck of alot of extra expense. Can they afford to sack Rafa and rebuild a world class squad of footballers? Quite simply, No. Whatever they think of Rafa, they can not afford to do this. I also firmly believe things will be smothed over this weekend after we stuff the mancs, it is outrageous that Rafa is under such scrutiny anyway. It is a ****ing joke to be honest. He I the best manager by some distance since Dalglish, propbably even better than KK.

So there ya go anyway. I think Rafa is going nowhere.
Anyone who thinks otherwise, is mroe than welcome to explain why.
I am sick of the internet rumours aswell. Doom mongers everywhere. mostly ful of **** too.

Piss poor PR to downscale the stadium plans so if it does happen they will not be willing to go through the pain of Rafa and that happening.

I think I now know how they come up with stories, they have a list of stories and they pick it out of the hat, this time Rafa to be sacked. They then go to the next hat with loads of names in and pick a name out, this time Martin O'Neill. There you go now need to fill in the spaces and we have a story that will get some attention.

the logic works but your argument is missing an important factor; hicks is american.
