    Would you risk Alonso today?

I'd be really tempted to throw him into the side.

When he came back against Arsenal, he looked in good form, and we had a geater urgency to our play while he was on the field, especially first half

He also used his experience early to get the free kick which Gerrard scored from

I'd love for us to line up like this:

    ---------Reina-------
    SF/AA--Carra--Hyppia--Riise

    -----Alonso----Masher--

    ------Gerrard------

    Benny---Torres---Kewell

    I'd go with all that.

No way would i risk him in such a fixture. Even having him in the squad is a risk.

I wouldn't even have him on the bench. A match fit Lucas is a better option.

I would give him 45-60 minutes against Chelsea in the CC and take it from there.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I dunno, he's been out ages and will be a little rusty. Better off sticking with Masher.
