We lost undeservedly against chelsea, so i dispute that, in fact in our last 4 v chelsea we won 2 from 4 and deserved to win 3 of them, so on that score i disagree. When we go head to head v arsenal, I don't think there's that much difference, we usually win one a piece, and this season we probably would have won our first this season but for all the injuries we ended up throwing it away. We've ****ed up against the mancs time and time again, and we've had the players to beat them.

        And what error is that?

The man rotates, he gets slated. He doesnt rotate, he gets slated.

We are fourth of the four in terms of head to head each year. That says it all. You can take all the deserving you like out of it. The table never lies. We used to say that when we were winning.

            :whatever:

Pretty obvious errors? The only thing that was pretty obvious from that game is that Kuyt, Benny and Kewell didn't deliver.

You dont like Rafa, you wind the majority of other Liverpool fans who love Rafa up.

Why not give him money? We've had 3 poor results in the league for me this season, Birmingham, Reading and today. If we need improving in a couple of areas give him the cash. If not he'll leave and that will be a sad sad day for Liverpool Football Club

you're changing the discussion now, you said we never had the players to win the big games, i said we did, and we do

However, we're currently underachieving this and if it is all about money, then why are we equal with Everton and Portsmouth at almost the halfway mark?

With the money we've spent we should be putting distance between us and the likes of Everton, but we're starting to find ourselves battling with teams like this every season to get into the CL.
Maybe because they have spent as much money as us.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

The last time I felt like this was a couple of years ago when Joe Cole scored the winner for the Chavs.
                  They are just spawny.

Reckon Demento has sold his soul to the devil.

Without wishing to point out the blindingly obvious if you look at our wins against the "big 4" in recent seasons Crouch has figured prominently. His hat-trick against Arsenal, an assist for Kuyt against Chelsea last season. Scored the winner against Cheslea in the Community Shield. Scored the winner against Man Utd in the FA Cup.

Last season we had a similar performance against Man Utd, Bellamy ripped Vidic a new one but Kuyt was always back playing his midfield role. If you watched the game today you'll see frequently that Kewell, Riise, Yossi and even Arbeloa were in the middle of the pitch because Torres and Kuyt were pulling out wide. It was a mess quite frankly.

it's our own fault. we didn't control the midfield like we should. We shoulda been all over them from the beginning. We could easily have won, we have far better team than them.
We always lose against them the same way, from some ****in cornwe or freekick that shouldn't be given...

                        So is Rafa to blame?

I reckon he made a mess of the subs again. He was too slow to get Kuyt off when it was clear to all he was no threat to Vidic, or Ferdinand and that he was having a shocker anyway.

Then he put him wide right for 10 minutes, why oh why? He's a poor crosser of the ball with no pace to beat his man.

Seeing the effect Babel had why didn't he come on at half time?

It wasn't working, as you say it was a mess and Rafa left it like so for 65 minutes before changing anything.

I can only presume they are playing the way Rafa wants them to because he takes so long to change it. I thought Kewell was the best of our attacking midfielders today. He did make an error that lead to the Utd corner for the goal, but our defending from the corner was the stuff of Rafa's dreams but fan's nightmares. Seriously, if you watch the corner again we have 11 men in the box against 3 Utd players.

We can beat a good team but we can`t beat a LUCKY team.

Benayoun made the mistake of not pushing out for their goal.

By all means mark zonally, but do we need to have all 11 players back? Can't we leave one player up front? Because when it's cleared the ball invariably goes back to the opposition.

We won most off the 50/50 clearances from their defence today.
